SPECIAL FEATURES

• Mere Ring: It appears to the naked eye like an innocuous black ring.

STRENGTHS

• Karambit of Midnight Black: The ring is fashioned from the Dark Side ore known as Lignan. Not only does it bolster the wearer's connection to the Dark Side, but it is ensorceled with the spell to summon a Darkshear weapon. However, this Darkshear does not take the form of an invisible spear. Instead, it appears to those who can see it in the Force as a karambit dagger fashioned from pure Dark Side energy. A blow from the weapon is capable of rusting away armor, draining power cells, and desiccating the flesh of what it stabs. A person struck by the karambit in a vital organ could feel as though that organ had aged thirty years in an instance, or the limb struck could atrophy and the joints fail. The benefit of having the ring enchanted as opposed to simply summoning the more powerful Spear of Midnight Black is that the summoning of the dagger takes no thought or concentration or effort of will on the part of the wielder. The moment the wielder wishes it to appear, it does.

WEAKNESSES

• Force Light: As with all Dark Side enchantments, this ring can be destroyed by Force Light.
• Time Limit: The summoned karambit can only be wielded for thirty seconds before it disappears. Afterward, the ring must recharge from ambient Force energy - or the energy of the wielder - before it can be summoned again. The time for resummoning depends upon the amount of ambient Force energy in the surrounding area. In Ruusan, for instance, it could recharge quite quickly, but the time limit for how long it is active would remain the same.

DESCRIPTION
Gerra forged this ring for Revna of House Marr after aiding her against Darth Nefaron due to their shared Vahlan heritage. It appears to be a black ring, as though it were made from onyx, and is smooth and very cold to the touch. After her house fell, Gerra believed that Revna should never be without a weapon. Consequently, the ring is a reassurance that so long as she wears it she can summon a karambit dagger of pure Dark Side energy with a single thought no matter where she is.
