- Resilience: The alchemized material of the Riduu'gam are completely resistant to the blades of lightsabers and can withstand an excellent sum of punishment from common, battlefield threats. In addition, the armor's bodyglove can withstand glancing blows from lightsabers, weather some piercing attempts, and offers modest protection against common, energy weaponry.
- Explosions: When faced with explosive ordnance, the Riduu'gam falls miserably short: a large price to pay for additional mobility.
When it came to the potential longevity of his people, Mand'alor the Reclaimer would stop at nothing. As such, when the offer to permanently align the Houses Verd and Zambrano was put on the table, Isley took it into consideration. What was offered, or rather who, was the hand of a woman that the Mand'alor had already known intimately. She had been the flame of Isley's youth – and mother to three of his children. To this end, accepting the gracious offer of [member="Darth Carnifex"] was not excessively difficult.
But, there were terms. Mandalorian terms.
If [member="Izevel Zambrano"] was to become his, then she would need to adopt his Ways. His people would become her people; and the Six Actions would become the foundation of her life. Upon acceptance of these terms did Isley take Izevel into his House – and thus did he begin her conversion. In particular, he set about constructing armor that would fulfill the tenets of the Resol'nare, but would also satisfy the "tastes" of his new bride.
Thus was the Riduu'gam (Mando'a, Lit. "Armor of the Wife") forged.
In comparison to standard beskar'gam, the Riduu'gam severely lacks in the "bells and whistles" department. Appearing as a series of Zersium pieces, treated with Alchemy, the armor provides solid coverage to the torso, shoulders/upper arms, and hands/wrists. All else is covered by a bodyglove composed of Armorweave tightly wound in Shell Spider Silk. As such, the armor is significantly lighter than standard beskar'gam – thereby proving Izevel greater mobility – but at the cost of overall protection.
Nevertheless, the Riduu'gam is satisfactory in the most vital respects. As armor, it fulfills the tenets of the Resol'nare. Being light, it plays to the strengths of the one wearing it...whilst also looking quite appealing.
