Description: Needing a reliable police droid which would be able to function without a large sentient crew to provide back up. The RI Patrol Droid was designed for primarily non-lethal capture and to be able to collect evidence without aid. Everything the droid takes in for input is recorded thus allowing constant increase in evidence for any case. Its primary armaments are the Stokhli spray stick, which is always what it uses to apprehend suspects rendering them unable to resist. As a back up it carries a standard stun baton for crowd control, and close quarters situations. As a final deterrent it has a built in blaster attached to to it's wrist. To lower the risk of it ever being taken and used against innocents the blaster is powered directly from the droids, power core, thus if the two separated the blaster is rendered completely useless. Built with a durasteel 'skeletal' structure, and paneled by plastoid the droid's primary goal is the preservation of life, and as such will usually not be the first one to fire. When a situation is found to be beyond the scope of the droid it will immeaditely call for stronger back up. This is not a combat model and while it can take a few hits and keep ticking it will by programming always attempt non-lethal attacks, even with the blaster pistol aiming for areas that will disable their target, but leave them alive.
