Rhythm of Four

[Cathbodua]

"So what news do we have of the Crucible station?" She said it while looking over some of the things there and the massive station was also an important thing they were working on. It would further allow them to really go about testing in different sections of the galaxy the medical technology and implants they had developed. Cathbodua herself going over sections of it while the ship was taking off from the planet with a bow of her head before she crossed her arms over her chest to give some ideas.

"Well it is progressing slowly and getting there, the projected size likely doesn't help as it becomes harder to get engineers but the short term cost vs the long term gains that can be made with a station that size able to be set up across the galaxy at different worlds gives several bigger advantages that we'll be able to work with aside from the new methods of income to pay for research and giving the doctors under Sakua a well established home or credits account for their own services."

 

[Cathbodua]

Cathbodua looked at her while she gave over a couple of things with a nod of her head. "Yeah, based on what the workers within Sasori are projecting is that it would get back its cost within a number of years. The medical center would be funded eventually by the massive trade hubs within the station as well as the manufacturing center." The jedi knight gave a small nod of her head for it while she was going over some of the things with a more careful look. Implants, medicine, equipment all of it.

Lisa and Cathbodua continued to work on the different things they had going, with the research, the testing trials and the well medical support they were doing to help the people under their care it was a powerful thing to have at your disposal in the long run compared to some of the thing things. Cathbodua herself was recovering better as she provided a number of things they would be able to do with some of the patients bringing out the healing cube as she channeled the force energies through the cube and outwards.

They were both working to heal some of the patients this hospital ship cared for and supported, with Lisa here as one of the master healers well she had the edge but the jedi kngiht could also work out the skills needed when she was pushing the energy. Throughout her own body and down into the cube when she breathed in deeply the scent of the force as well as the coolness that came from the cube before she flicked her eyes across the patients in the room with a bow of her head.

"You are still full of surprises." She said it while watching the one healer limp around the room but also providing some of the stronger healing services to the other patients. "You won't let the doctors or the healers take a look at your leg and hip but you still manage to outpreform many of the others when it comes to skills with the force." She was impressed and no real reason to hide it since well there was only the sick and semi dying here that could reveal that the jedi knight did admire the woman.

 

[Cathbodua]

"Well it isn't a detriment to me, I spend all of my time in a lab and the medical bays away from the combat. Let the ones who wish to fight go at it and let the ones who prefer to handle themselves studying the sciences of the galaxy and the body handle that. I'll not really lose anything if I limp around patient beds healing with the force." She said it while standing there and there was a few more things happening to help them. Cathbodua could sense and feel more in the ship while the patients were getting better.

Cathbodua continued to work with Lisa through all of the work they were doing here as the ship continued to travel towards the well and then to continue forwards. The next several hours brought her attention to some more of the things as her body was protesting the expansion of energy when she sat down. She was still in pain, still feeling like she had been hurt and was healing it wasn't something she liked but would have to find a way to power through it as she yawned in her suit. "I need to sleep."

"Then go and catch a few hours, we'll handle things here and get you if there are any problems." She said it with a look while Cathbodua was heading out prepared to work on any of the things before she raised an eyebrow. Se was looking over the different things when she rose up heading off into the bunks where she could sleep with a small sigh activating the special light filters on the ship that allowed her to remove her face mask and despite the bruises and pain she was glad to lay down with a pillow.

She was asleep and feeling the fatigue of the day bleed away with a small sigh of contentment as there was no one coming to bother her. The medical staff on the ship was highly trained and more so to the point the nurses they had were able to do plenty of things themselves. The jedi knight woke up several hours later to the prodding of one of the droids as she opened her eyes rolling over to look at him when she spoke. "What... what do you want?" The droid was small and looked at her with a beep.

Cathbodua was looking at the droid while it continued in droidspeak getting a small look from her before she rolled out of the bed with a small look on her face. "Fine fine fine I am up, quit your beeping." She rolled out of the bed getting dressed and clean ready for it when she finished with getting ready and they were still in hyperspace. Traveling through the well would provide them with even more time to work on things before she finished up. Rejoining the other medical doctors while they were teaching.

She saw some of the medical students and here in the large hospital ship they had several classes working on rotation for shifts to go over some of the things. She was watching some of the medical students there as they were working with things they had. One seemed a little green around his face when he suddenly started running out with a small look on his face. Going over towards the receptacle for a moment when he started throwing up and letting loose as the nurses commented with small looks.

Cathbodua watched him run out of the room and she followed giving under the mask a disappointing look at the nurses and the one watch the student. As she was coming through there was a small look on her face until she pushed some of the energies outwards seeing him sitting down there as she joined him. "I'm sorry." He said it looking at her while the jedi kngiht standing there next to him while she offered a small cloth rag. They were working on some of the things here now as no one came around the hallway.

"Don't ever say you're sorry. See, there's two kinds of doctors... there's the kind that gets rid of their feelings, and the kind that keeps them. If you're gonna keep your feelings, you're gonna get sick from time to time - that's just how it works." She was watching him and stayed there squatting down ready to talk with him and stay with it like she had done with some of the others when she was teaching them. "Keep your head down." She looked at him and pointed forward when his breathing evened out slowly.

Cathbodua was there crouching down and just leaning against the wall with a small look at him. "People come in here and they're sick and dying and bleeding, and they need our help. Helping them is more important than how we feel." She was focused, she didn't care and she didn't do the things here for acclaim or fortune, though she would never deny working with Sakura to improve the lives of man people and the grants that could come from it for them to be able to do things was important.

She watched all of it in the hallway while patting him on the shoulder. "But it's still a pain the backside sometimes." The student was looking at her before he moved over with some things speaking from his head between his knees so he was able to not get scolded again about his head being down. "Sometimes, I just want to quit and do something else." Cathbodua looked at him with a small look on her face as he had been working hard to become a doctor and why quit now when you were close.

 

[Cathbodua]

"Why don't you take a few more minutes?" She said it looking at more who had come to see from the door turning her head to stare them down from under her face mask before Lisa appeared with a small look on her face. "Okay." He said it while she was going with more of the things there standing up again and pushing off of the wall as she spoke. "By the way, I was in medical school with Benton... and he used to get sick all the time, so... don't let him give ya any crap. You're gonna be fine."

Cathbodua returned towards the work they were doing in different sections of it. She entered into the room looking at the others there with her raised eyebrow. "Alright that is enough of a show o and get back to your rounds." There were other departments that were working and different rotations in the different areas but all the same she was proud to work with many of the things before going over and she saw Lisa standing at the ready as the large wookiee came over to look at her.

"Dr. Lisa?" The wookiee was there as she turned to look at him. "Just a minute, please." She was busy working on some of the things with the others and going over more of it on their charts before he spoke looking a little annoyed more so then usual. "Uh, well CT's calling about your patient Insley." Cathbodua was guessing one of the patients they picked up on Voss. "Yeah, so what did the Big man do now?" She seemed annoyed but it was more because as she looked it was taking much longer.

"He stopped breathing." That got her to pause for a moment while looking at the medical students and they were showing them through the area. She waved them away before speaking. "And why the hell would he do that?" Cathbodua was almost ready to crack a smirk under her mask while she was going and letting the force energies sxpand outwards to sense and feel for the man in other end of the ship where the scanners were with the technicians but she didn't say anything as the healer was heading out to go and check.

Cathbodua was looking as Lisa left to go and work with her attention on the different patients when her attention turned to some of the larger things they were doing here. Like clearing the hospital beds so they could continue to work out some of the things here. Since they weren't going to be getting new people they could go and meet up with each other as she listened to two of the other medical doctors they had. The two fo them were talking with some of their attention and friendship.

"All he did was talk about his ex for 45 minutes, who also happened to be named Lily. How much he loved her, how much he wanted to marry her, how much he wanted to have 5 or 6 children with her... Do I want children?... Do I want 5 or 6 children?" She was looking at the ones there while some of the nurses seemed to be snickering and the jedi kngiht remained impassive behind her face masl. The sounds fo their conversaton not really something she needed to listen to. "Okay, Hex could be worse."

 

[Cathbodua]

"I'm not even there yet, Kota. I look over, and he has this drop of red wine hanging from his nose." The woman was looking at him and there was a look on his face as the jedi knight wondered what had happened before she went over to some of the patients. "What?" Now he looked like something had happened or kicked a puppy just total shock. "You heard me, this puny little blob just hanging there. So of course I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Is it gonna fall? is it gonna hang there all night? Is his skin gonna absorb it?"

There seemed to be a look passing through and around the different nurses they had going around the area. "How did it get there? The question was important and well something that had to be asked when she continued to do rounds wiht the others and the patients were mostly asleep from the meds they were on or they were just listening. The small room wasn't made for much else when they were going through it and she could feel the space around themt o offer some navigation of the well.

"Kota!" She said it out loud and seemed more then surprised as one of the patients stirred and Cathbodua's gaze fell upon both of them sternly looking up from the chart as the beeping of the machines came. "No really, how do you get your nose that far into a wine glass? Was he smelling it or..." He trailed off as they seemed to take the hint and spoke lower in pitch but were still going on finishing up with the clean up for the bed so it could be ready for a new patient if they had been on a planet.

"Kota, please!" She seemed to be begging with a look on her face until the nurse were there with her providing a few new ideas with more of it. Their nurses were skilled, the medical healers who were working and providing new ideas were also skilled before they pushed off in a couple areas. "What happened?" Now he was even more curious and it gave Cathbodua when she finished up something to work with until they were seeing a few of the other doctors returning from the scanners.

 

[Cathbodua]

"I went to the bathroom and snuck out the window." There were some laughs from one of the patient and the nurses when she went to a desk and sat down to observe and look at all of the other one. Filling out the medical charts as they were working on things and information about the weave tests continued to go on. They were applying it to skin suits for burn victims and healing cases to better understand while working with some of the human boits that had been developed for medical testing.

"You're kidding." The surprise was there while they were all going over the bigger things that were planned and the jedi knight remained there she was. The woman stood there seeing the nurses turn to look at her. "Nope I needed to get out of there and one of the rare times planetside." She said it while they seemed to be snickering and reports that Lisa was returning... no she could hear her and Doctor Bradley from Surgery speaking while they went over many of the things.

 

[Cathbodua]

"Wow." Kota said it when there was shouting coming from the room when all of the others turned to look at them. "Did you even take an oath when you were made a doctor?" All of them turned their heads over to look and the conversations in the room fell silent for a moment until he entered. Short, balding and in bllue scrubs to denote which department he was generally working in. "I had my fingers crossed." He said it while coming in to look at them before getting a chart for one of the patients.

"Alright now lets see what cesspit we have down here and how surgery can fix it. Come along with us sir, come to where we have the good drugs." He was looking at the different hings while Cathbodua raised an eyebrow but they were wheeling the patient out while Lisa came over and sat down next to her turning over a few of the things. "So what happened?" she looked up and spoke. "Died on the scanner table, they are trying to get him off still and taken to the morgue now."

Well leave it to the woman to be practical as she was working on many of the things. There was a lot of work that could be said as Cahbodua sat there looking over more of the sections in the ship. she could see some of the stuff they were working on when she looked up. "Well your patient dying is a problem but we should be careful. Don't want you to get a reputation for killing your patients." The jedi healer was looking at her while they sat there and were rejoined by the wookiee with a look at more of the things.

The three of them were there looking at many of the different things before she rolled her shoulders in the seat. As far as things went when overseeing the medical bays... this was in. you treated your patients, waited for tests and labs, then sat around since there was a number of things they weren't going to have to work on the different things. The jedi healers were working on things before she cme over seeing some of the nurses that were going around and working with them.

The time was passing as the pilots were bringing them through the well towards the world they had discovered, Rianna one of the older jedi healers who had been working with the jedi until she found a new purpose and Matsu had gone in search of a planet for the healing crystals of fires orgins. Using legends, rumors and the force to see what they could discover as the jedi themselves had made a course to the planet where she could go and keep it quiet as well as get their own work for many of the things.

As the hours ticked by and news of some fo the other departments came the jedi knight was able to finish her charts that had backed up informaiton wise for the time she was injured in the bed and when she was training. Other good thing about the down time while she was recalling what had happened and going back and forth with the nurses to fill in the information as needed while providing the better range of medical care they could. She could see Lisa was resting up and going over her stuff much the same way.

The hours of travel ticked away with Cathbodua finishing up when they were set to arrive, the navigational data leading them far out beyond the well towards some of the final sections and the worlds there were quiet compared to others. Leading to a few things they could work with when she stayed ready for anything seeing the view screen. "So how is it looking?" She was there with lisa and they were working on the different things with her thoughts staying on it when she started assigning the away team.

She would be going along with two other healers/medics, three engineers one of whom was an artisan for removing and fashioning the crystal into a usable weave they would be able to do something with. That was all important and never travel without protection from a team of soldiers using one of the cerberus wardroids to defend them. It was a simple process and something they would be able to find a purpose and series of new things to do with before to long. "Alright you ready to head down?"

 

[Cathbodua]

Lisa was looking at her as there was a few things she was good at but being in the field might not always be it, she much preferred giving the orders to all of them but as one of the senior jedi healers on the ship she did have the authority to come along and order them about for the away team... unless something happened that involved combat in which case then commend would switch over to the ranger's who had come with them on the task. Cathbodua was walking when she heard her. "Yeah yeah, I'll be there."

She was looking at her while they started gearing up and Cathbodua got a chance to work with some of the things going forward. She was skilled in the different methods of healing while also using her weakness of having a damaged limb to push her forward and excel, every step of advancement she has done was taken by scratching and clawing it from the drecks of whatever she had been doing in the silver sages while the jedi knight remained there with her glove and cube prepared.

They had all they needed in the shuttle to head down tot he planet with the away team, information and mappers built into the scanning equipment they provided themselves before long when Cathbodua herself was looking at the other jedi healer. The chainmailed mesh under the silk covering allowing her superior levels of protect as well as a field rebreather so she wasn't carrying around a massive pack when the ship jerked and left the hanger bay starting to head down towards the planet.

"Well lets make this a time to count and have something interesting, with the engineers we should be able to process and come away with some workss for what we have done. THen as the senior healers we'll be able to work on it and provide some ideas." Cathbodua looked at her and gave a nod of her head even in the bodysuit she could still feel it and being classified as a senior in anything seemed strange but she supposed it was true while going over the information about the facility that had been set up.
