Reymar Cruniac Holt was born to a family of Anaxsi elite. He was raised in line with the blue blood that flowed through his veins, and barely a day passed when he wouldn't be reminded of the elite's superiority over the common rabble. From ostentatious balls he was forced to attend at the age of six, to meetings with senators and galactic representatives in the private quarters of his family, Reymar had been deliberately placed in constant contact with the heights of galactic power throughout his childhood in an effort to instill in him the importance of privilege.
Interestingly enough, however, this had precisely the opposite effect on the young scion of the Holt line. Where his parents pushed him to fall in with their enjoyment of affluence, Reymar began to see the corruption it took to maintain the wealth. When his parents attempted to teach him lessons in the wielding of power, Reymar only became witness to, in his view, unnecessary cruelty and fear-based tactics. And where his parents spoke again and again of the wide rift between those of the elite and those not, Reymar did the opposite and found an increasing number of commonalities between himself and those cannaile from the lower classes.
Yet, Reymar was no bleeding heart. He recognized no reason to give up the privilege he had been afforded in life for any idealistic crusades like some of the other men and women had in their teens when he himself reached a similar age. Quietly holding on to his observations and reservations, he maintained the career track his parents had laid out for him from even before his birth. He graduated from the Anaxsi military academy with honours, moved on to a fast-rising military track in a combat position aboard a mid-sized vessel, and eventually even found himself fighting at the front during waning years of the Galactic Alliance's wars with the Sith.
Shockingly, to his parents, following the conclusion of the Sith wars, Reymar concluded his brief service in the military when he made a pivot toward politics during a bid to become the next Senator of Anaxes. Though his chances weren't stellar, he nonetheless pursuit the opportunity, but ultimately his comparatively young age became a target for his opponents who decried his inexperience. It did not matter how competent his vision for Anaxes' future was compared to the non-promises and empty gestures of his political rivals, in a society built on military tradition one who had yet to earn his scars simply did not carry the necessary weight. And so, he lost the bid for politics, being relegated to a menial bureaucratic job in local Anaxsi politics instead.
Much time passed uneventfully, as Reymar reluctantly settled into his new career. Though his family offered to pull strings for him to get him back to his old post in the military, he refused their offers. He had resolved firmly to not serve a frontline role. Having seen what combat was like, he knew deep within that his path was not that of the war hero.
He'd always preferred the shadows behind the curtain more than he had the spotlight of the stage.
During one of his visits to one of Anaxes' cities, Reymar, now aide to Anaxes' governor and in his mid twenties, became interested in a relatively unknown local political dissenter. The local played off the governor's attempt to secure the voter base for the coming cycle in subtle ways, employing tactics that were far too effective. He seemed always just too well informed and never lacking in evidence to the accusations he fabricated. The man became an outlier that Reymar studied with great curiosity.
Yet, what investigations he undertook were cut short when that very dissenter approached him one night, with blaster pistol drawn and black-armoured goons in tow. Reymar knew military men when he saw them, and it became clear just why that dissenter had been so successful in destabilizing the governor's voter base. He had the backing of a foreign government behind him, and he didn't much like the prospect of some governor's aide threatening the plans he had laid out.
Reymar offered an alternative solution to the dissenter's problems, however. Instead of creating a problem of a dead governor's aide, Reymar offered to defect. He had long fallen out of favour with the Alliance, and the culture around him. He was ready to begin anew, and his case was convincing enough that the dissenter could see the value of a well-informed and connected inside man.
... more events happen I'm low on time and will (maybe) expand later, this has gone long enough anways.
Reymar eventually defected and came to serve the New Imperial Order directly, an environment that much more suited his inclinations and ambitions.
He remained in the track of politics until its collapse, when he once again took up a position in the local politics of the Tingel Arm.
Eventually he would come to serve in the Dark Empire -- details to be fleshed out etc.
