Reunions and Secrets Revealed

Location: Great Sith-Imperial Library, Bastion
Objective: N/A
Star Date: c. 858

The Great Sith-Imperial Library. Raptious was surprised to see their brother in such a place, of all places. The Ashen Devil of Noxis never seemed to be the studious type, especially given his recent actions whilst on deployment with the Imperial Legion. Even out of his armor, and even when the Phoenix's stature was taken into account, Kascalion Giedfield was a massive individual, taking up most of the book aisle he stood in, a tattered red book sprawled open in his calloused hands.

A worrisome feeling overtook the Phoenix, causing them to look around the great library in three full rotations before setting their white gaze upon the Ashen Devil with a curious expression.

"Brother, what are you doing here?" Raptious asked with a calm tone, eyes still darting around the seemingly endless rows of knowledge.

"Reading," Kascalion responded with a gruffness only he could manage.

The Phoenix stiffened at their brother's unexpected tone and cleared their throat nervously, "I see that, but-"

The Ashen Devil slammed the book shut and finally looked up at his sibling, bright ice-blue eyes gleaming with annoyance, "Look, I'm not exactly in the mood to talk, Lorale. Besides, you have something to deal with."

"What do you mean?" the Phoenix asked as their brother brushed past them towards the exit of the library.

"You'll see," Kascalion grunted once more before the doors slid close behind him, leaving the Phoenix 'alone' and confused.

Trayze Tesar

Well-Known Member
The Great Library of Bastion, designed in such a way for the ease of access to all knowledge that could be available in the galaxy...at least in the Empire. Everything from it's sleek but aesthetic architecture, locale, and updated computers every part of the library was meant for convenience.

Except of course, for the presence of a Kiffar Acolyte and his Devanorian companion. Judging by the look given to him by the Ashen Devil of Noxis, he may not have wanted to encounter the young man yet, but at this point it was inevitable.

"Lord Kredge." the Acolyte bowed crisply and quickly, not wanting to waste any more time. "...Domak Graush's On the Dissemination and Legacy of Starfaring Species." Trayze would remark. "Didn't take you for a genealogist...or can you guess what I'm here to talk about." he would pause. "For formality's sake, I am Trayze Tesar, and would you like to take a seat over by that large table?"

He intended to be bold, forward...but nevertheless polite.

Kascalion stared down at the boy with incensed eyes, incensed because the child had prevented him from leaving the library and thus him to his par. An additional irritation was present because the child had just prior been in the room he left Lorale and was now standing in front of him with bravado and practiced confidence.

You really are Lorale's offspring, the Ashen Devil thought to himself as he silently acknowledged the boy's request, making sure to let his frustrated gaze linger onto the young Sith's own eyes.

The Ashen Devil sat down at the table, slamming the book onto the hard wood surface that resounded and cracked with a bang and resulted in several dozen "shhhh's" to be sent his way. As Trayze Tesar, result of an idiotic romance between his sibling and the woman he whisked away for everyone's safety, stood before him with the intent of asking questions, along with his Devanorian companion who seemed just as curious, Kascalion balled his fist tightly. This was meant to be a short time to research into questions that he needed answers for, but of course, it had to become more complex than needed.

Kascalion was not against complexity, for it was the very nature through which he existed and combated. But this was a situation that need not have been more complex than it already was. Still, here he was and there they were, the two younglings. One a child inevitably looking for answers, and the other seemingly helping his friend do so.

"So, Trayze Tesar...enforcer of litigation and law, and...Kalt Bruq, practitioner of trickery and illusions," a lying smirk formed under his light facial hair and a calloused hand swept through his hair in slight aggravation. "I would say I'm pleased to see you, boy, but we both know that is a lie for I do not wish to be brought into this mess at this point in time. But you seem keen on doing so, so get to it, please."

Kalt wasn't exactly sure what was going on. Trayze seemed to be on some investigation and asked him to tag along. Normally he couldn't be bothered but this seemed pretty important to Trayze, so he decided to go anyway. Besides, any reason to visit Bastion's Imperial Library wasn't exactly something Kalt was going to say no to.

Trayze approached a Lord Kredge and bowed. Kalt did a nod of his head but he wasn't much for formalities. Unless it meant his head was going to get smashed in but he didn't think a Sith would resort to that sort of thing here of all places. They were reading a genealogy book. Actually Kalt can recall reading that very book... it was kind of boring but it was useful in giving him insight on several sentient beings. That sort of knowledge helped make his illusions more real to others. Even if it mostly covered small details they tended to be crucial, especially with certain species.

Lord Kredge acknowledged his presence. A practitioner of trickery and illusions... Now that sounded nice. Although Master of Trickery or Illusions would sound better... Kalt thought. Kredge didn't seem to enthusiastic about this meeting but it seemed like it was important. Kalt took his seat at the table Trazye provided.
