It had been years since they spoke. Ever since the loss of his mother, his father's wife, the Hound continued to push everyone away as one failure piled onto another. And with it, the guilt continued to grow along with the longing. But he never reached out. Never answered, too ashamed to face his old man after everything that happened. Like every other bad choice at the time, Yuri told himself that it was for the best. That he was helping to avoid any more pain.

It couldn't continue.

He couldn't fix all of his mistakes, but he was trying his damned best where he could. The family business was operational once more, the family name reformed to demand respect once again. What friends remained, amends were extended. But one last mistake still needed to be confronted, and so he found himself on Denon once again.

In the past, Denon was a place to make bad decisions and ruin his life. Those days were over, the prodigal son had returned. But his heart raced as the elevator carried him up to his father's penthouse. At least, he hoped it was still his father's. He didn't even reach out to make sure, it was supposed to be a surprise. Yuri was nervous, scared to face his father after everything that happened. He didn't know about Yuri's new arm, about the new war brewing... nothing.

A cigarette landed between his lips, lit with a spark from the plasma cutter built into his cybernetic left arm. It didn't do much to calm his nerves, but it helped him feel a little bit better. He lifted the bottle of expensive Tihaar he brought along from Kestri. There was a second gift, but he needed to see how things went first before he brought it out. A growling sigh echoed from his maw. He adjusted his leather jacket and prepared to depart as the turbolift came to a halt. "Showtime..." He muttered to himself, stepping out to the front door. Hesitation gripped at his mind, body and heart. A finger hovered over the buzzer for what felt like an eternity.

It felt like he had to put his whole body into it, but finally the button was depressed. The elegant chime signalled Yuri's presence by the front door. His breath was stuck, the Hound found himself unable to breathe as he waited for the door to be answered.
