Reunion Deux

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Zhat'n'ira, Vitor's home

Lilith. How he missed her dearly. Though another love had come and gone, he still missed his first one, the one whose two children he now took care of. Even now as he gave Lilin another gentle hug, he still pondered over what it would be like to have her around again.

Perhaps he would finally get the chance, in a way.

It was getting windy. And not just windy, but more like a storm. It was dark and Malificete thought it would be the right time to take a trip back to Vitor so that she wouldn't catch too much attention from the locals. They didn't need to see her again. She had turned into a nightmare, she had turned into a ghostly figure. Nobody would like to see her.

But she knew VItor was waiting for her. She didn't remember the man or how he looked like, but... she had heard from a few people that the man was waiting for her. And they had given her the exact location.

The door to the little abode fell open. Malificete stood there, outside. "Vitor," she whispered, her voice sounding just as if it was the wind.

When the door opened to his humble abode on Zhat'n'ira, Vitor expected that it was likely one of the locals who needed something from him. But instead, he was met with someone he had not expected to see in years - his wife, his first love, long left dead. And he was certain of such, having helped bury her after the birth of their second child, Vindi. The three children of his - including the one by the Tera Vampir he had loved after her death - were all asleep, so it was just him and her.

As he eyed his beloved, ignoring the Dark Side corruption that seemed to gleefully taint her being, he embraced her, accepting her into his home as he shut the door behind her. A kiss was the first thing he gave to her. "Lilith..."

Malificete didn't react to the kiss. She didn't feel anything. No love, no hatred. Nothing. That was a strange thing that was going on with her, but to be a perfect Sith, no emotions like that should be felt. All that there is... is the Dark Lord and the Vision. There was no time for a personal life.

"I am not Lilith. I am Darth Malificete," she spoke. Her voice echoed in the room, reflecting from every object around and coming back to her. Her white ghostly dress nearly levitated around her and her skin was paler than it had ever been before. "So you really loved me one day." She broke off from the man's embrace. "That's miserable."

She walked around a bit, trying to remember anything about the place. But there was nothing in her brain that could tell her of her past in the house.

"...Miserable?" He paused, very much unsure as to what had happened. She had loved him deeply back when he had last seen her - they had two children together, something no unloving couple would ever have happen. "I loved you. Love is something natural, something all people feel." He sighed, trying to remember what could've changed her into this. "Were you not fully resurrected by those rituals?"

He looked around the house. "Our children are going to be eager to see you - as well as the latest addition to our family."

"I was fully resurrected. I was resurrected as who I should be - the perfect Sith who follows the Vision," Malificete spoke. "I am the reference standard of the Sith." She looked at the wooden walls. Looked like it was a really primitive house. "But I didn't know I have children. I would like to see them, just to know if I have missed anything or not. I think I have not missed anything, though."

She grinned slyly. It looked really weird.

"I hope they don't remember me. Because I don't remember any of them. Nor do I remember you." She walked to a door which looked to her like the one which would get her to the children's room. "Are they there?"

"They why do I sense such darkness in you?" He paused, still looking at her. "You're emotionless. Cold. It's not right..." He took her hand, motioning for her to come into the room. "We loved each other. Passionately." He opened the door, showcasing the three children all asleep in their beds. "The younger girl is our daughter, Lilin. She's a wonderful child. The older boy is Vindi. He was the one you gave birth to shortly before you died. The younger one is Malek - I had him with another after you died."

He paused, gently embracing her from behind. "You have emotions... don't you?"

"You speak nonsense," Malificete said as an answer to Vitor's most recent question. Yes, she did have emotions of some kind, but they were nothing like the man's were. Her emotions were full of hatred and true loyalty to the Vision. There was absolutely no room for anything like having a family or feeling passion for the man she had once loved.

A clue of that was her loss of memory about all these things which didn't matter anymore. She had realised as soon as she remembers all the things again, she loses memories of them again in a few hours or until she leaves the situation. It was a strange phenomenon, but she had decided she doesn't want to get rid of that.

It felt good that way. Knowing that her former life was over. All the struggles and everything. No, she was not too happy about losing Vitor, but more about losing her sister and her troublesome past.

"You're a lot less soulful and loving now." he sighed. "But our children will still look up to you as their mother, darling." He gently kissed the back of her neck, smiling as he pulled back. "There were times when I thought I wasn't going to be able to make it, because I didn't have you here with me. I kept regretting the fact that you'd died during childbirth due to the un-advanced medical care here. but now you're here, and we can pick up where we once were."
