REUNIFICATION IN THE OUTER RIM!

As the IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION seeks to solidify its borders, it turns outward, hoping to bring isolated Imperial remnants back into the fold under the banner of ORDER and HONOR.

Now, contact has been made with the MAHPOREEM IMPERIAL REMNANT, a hardened frontier state long separated from central rule. Through the efforts of SUPREME COMMANDER MARLON SULAREN and the TRIUMVIRATE representing Mahporeem’s people, the remnant has officially requested admission into the Confederation, becoming the fourth sovereign state to join its cause.

LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE

TimHzFP.png

Objective I: Civilian Interests [Social]

In the decades since Emperor Palpatine’s Operation: Cinder, the people and leadership of Mahporeem chose a path of isolation, seeking to preserve their culture and independence from the chaos of the wider galaxy. While this decision protected their way of life, it also led to the gradual depletion of their once-endless scrapyards, resources vital to their survival and economy.

With Mahporeem’s recent admission into the Imperial Confederation, the Commission for the Establishment of Civilian Interests (COMECI) has initiated relief efforts to help further stabilize the world. In coordination with the Imperial Military, multiple IM-455 Modular Garrisons have been deployed around Corrox, the planetary capital, and Dandama Junction. Initially serving as supply centers and field hospitals, these garrisons are designed to transition into permanent defensive outposts. Supporting both humanitarian needs and the reintegration of Mahporeem into the greater galactic order.

TimHzFP.png

Objective II: Just Like the Simulations [PVE, PVP]

While the majority of deployed IM-455 Modular Garrisons on Mahporeem have been dedicated to COMECI’s ongoing support operations, a select few, particularly those positioned near Corrox, have been designated for military training and evaluation purposes. These garrisons have been retrofitted with advanced simulation technologies, allowing for the controlled testing of new doctrines, battlefield tactics, and personnel performance under a range of combat scenarios.

Several interior levels have been tailored to specific needs: lower floors are dedicated to urban and ground combat simulations, mid-level decks host naval strategy and fleet coordination training, while an upper floor has been set aside as a sparring arena for hand-to-hand and close-quarters combat. In addition to providing valuable data to the Imperial Military, these garrisons serve as recruitment and training centers for Mahporeem’s integration into the wider defense apparatus of the Confederation.

Objective 1

The scrapyard world of Mahporeem had remained isolated for an extended period of time. Though they were running out of scrap to recannibalize, Vanessa Vantai had, in her retreat from Ord Mantell with almost all the world's resources, including its experimental hypergate, brought the numerous molecular furnaces that had been used to purify the world's surface with her. Her intent was to place a number of these at the Thryopa Shipbreaking Yards in order to turn the worthless scrap that had been incapable of being salvaged into useful materials for the new Imperial military. The furnaces, tugged through orbit by the tractor beam of dedicated towing ships, began to be safely deorbited and moved towards the world's surface.

it was time to more aggressively stake her claims.

Objective I: Social Interests

Outfit: Uniform
Equipment: Relby k-23 mod. E, NZ PEG
Onboard: The Nucleus

TimHzFP.png

The hum of advanced scientific equipment echoed faintly through the halls of The Nucleus. The air was thick with the scent of sterile coolant and sterilized composites. Deep within her midsection, past a makeshift command hub that was recently converted for civilian logistics, Karl stood, arms folded behind his back, gazing at the planetary arc of Mahporeem through a reinforced viewport.

The planet, to anyone who wasn't aware of the projects in the works there, looked as if it were under assault, as the numerous IM-455 modular garrisons were deployed to the surface. They, however, weren't filled with weapons of war, but with supplies and medications. To Karl, this was peaceful, a world forgotten by the core, now stirred by the great reawakening of Confederation interest.

He turned as the chief medical officer approached, a slew of medical drones following her like loyal wraiths. She gave him a nod to indicate that everyone was present. "This is a tremendous honor," Karl began, his voice even. "This is the first interaction between The Imperial Confederation and the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, not as two separate entities, but as one."

He stepped toward a holotable displaying the location layout of the IM-455 garrisons as they made planetfall. Each icon pulsing softly as the table recorded their trajectories. "They have been isolated for more than a few hundred years, and we do not know if they have been receiving the proper modern medical care. As such, your team is responsible for vaccinations and making sure that any sick individuals are seen to immediately." He turned off the holotable and stepped around it, fully facing the numerous medical officers in the room. "Vaccinations will be offered, not imposed. We are not here to oppress the masses, but to help and guide with an Imperial hand. However, every active or reserve member of their military will receive the necessary inoculations. If they wish to serve, they must bear our standard for biosecurity."

He waited a beat, then gave a small nod to the room. "All of you have your assignments, dismissed!"

As the room began to file out, a Lieutenant stepped toward the Exarch with a crisp salute. "Exarch. Governor Vantai has made landfall. She has set up in the Thryopa Shipbreaking Yards and brought numerous molecular furnaces."

Karl's brow lifted slightly, "I do not believe that I have had the chance to talk with the Governor. Not since the Imperial talks on Zakuul." He began walking toward the hangar. "Ready my shuttle. I'll meet her on the surface before I make my way through the garrisons."

TimHzFP.png

The descent through Mahporeem's atmosphere was smoother than expected. Winds cut low across the distant ridgelines, and the sun cast long streaks over plateaus. The shuttle touched down with a hiss of vented pressure near the newly deployed molecular furnaces. As the boarding ramp lowered, Karl stepped down in his tailored uniform, his prosthetic gait smooth and silent, his breath measured in the dusty air of a world just beginning to breathe again.

He approached the Governor.

"Governor Vantai," he offered, voice smooth and respectful. "I see you've wasted no time."

"MOVE IT! DOUBLE TIME!"

Ronhar's voice bellowed across the field as a group of Junktroopers scrambled to set up perimeter security for the incoming IM-455 modular garrison, though their gesture was really more symbolic than practical. After all, anyone with even half of brain would certainly think twice about attacking a world that was crawling with as many Imperials as Mahporeem was. Nonetheless, Ronhar was determined to show to his newfound allies that the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant could carry its own weight, and that it was a partner in the alliance and not a client. Nearly 900 years of self imposed isolation had made the Remnant fiercely independent, and even with all of the assistance that the Imperial Confederation was offering, that was not going to change any time soon.

Ronhar watched as the construction crews assembled the base piece of piece. These Imperials were certainly efficient, he had to admit. Efficient, and clearly powerful: to carry an IM-455 modular base required the use of at least an Imperial Star Destroyer sized vessel, and this particular base was only one of many being constructed on the planet. Ronhar wondered just how powerful this Imperial Confederation actually was. After all, if they changed their minds and decided to make their foreign aid trip into an invasion, he wasn't sure Mahporeem would be able to stop them.

Things were certainly going to get interesting. That much, he could tell.

"Right on schedule, I see?", a familiar voice inquired behind him.

Ronhar turned around to face Victport Graras.

"Sir", he acknowledged.

"Incredible, isn't it?, Graras mused. "All this, for a insignificant little planet on the edge of the Outer Rim."

"If this is what they do for an 'insignificant' planet, I'd hate to see what they'd do for somewhere more important, sir", Ronhar quipped rather dryly.

Graras gave him a light chuckle before responding:

"I just had a talk with the engineers. It would seem that the first batch of damaged Storm Walkers already arrived some time ago. They're having a field day tearing those walkers apart and examining what's inside them. Very advanced tech. Very expensive, too."

He paused for a moment, a faraway look in his eye.

"This will be good for us, Ronhar", he said firmly. Ronhar nodded in agreement.

"Of course, sir", Ronhar replied evenly. Graras sighed, though not directly at Ronhar.

"Still, I understand how big a change this must be for you. It certainly is for everyone, myself included."

"I'm quite alright, sir."

"Oh, I'm sure you are, Captain Tane. Still, be sure to get some rest. I need you in top fighting shape, after all."

As to who Ronhar would be fighting, Graras didn't explicitly say. But, Ronhar understood well enough.

"Will do, sir."

"Very good, Captain, very good." Graras turned to leave, but stopped himself. "Tell me, Captain, did you hear about our new molecular furnaces?"

"I can't say I have, sir", Ronhar responded.

"Mmmhhh. I'm sure you know that Mahporeem has a number of salvaging and ship breaking facilities on the planet, but these are supposed to be state of the art, from what I understand."

"I see", Ronhar replied.

"I'd like you to take a look at them. They're being set up in the Thryopa Shipbreaking Yards. You are to directly supervise their installation. Feel free to remind any our new Imperial "friends" of how we run things on Mahporeem. That will be all, you are dismissed."

Graras turned once more and headed off, undoubtedly busier than he'd ever been in a long time. Ronhar gave him a crisp salute and took one last looked at the incomplete modular garrison before heading toward the Thryopa Shipbreaking Yards. Regardless of who brought the molecular furnaces, they would have to understand that it would be Mahporeem running the show, and not them.

Ronhar would make sure of that much.

OBJECTIVE II

He understood fierce independence as much as most, coming from the Risen Empire. They'd survived on their own for a very long time without any contact with the majority of the galaxy, let alone any other Imperial groups. Joining with the others to form the Confederation had been the first time the Risen Empire had opened itself to the galaxy, at least truly. They had largely been content to reside on little known worlds, biding their time, building a base of power, progressing their technology and growing their numbers with the intent of eventually pushing further into the known systems and letting themselves become known.

The Confederation was their way of doing that.

Now he was on Mahporeem, making his way through a training facility with some rather advanced systems. It was unlike anything he had experienced. His training had come from actual field work. Train in the rough environments, experience harsh weather, difficult terrain, survive in it, complete your objective without delay. This almost seemed like cheating. How would these recruits, who trained in these conditions, deal with the realities of war? Of harsh terrain and environments? He didn't know, but he wasn't tasked with testing the systems but watching the recruits.

Mahporeem, it seemed, held a long-time garrison of Imperial holdouts that had remained loyal to the Imperial ways for hundreds of years, and remained out of sight for the same. Now they were joining the Confederation, and as they were located near the occupied space of the Risen Empire, something he found most curious given they hadn't known about them, it was only fitting that many of the RE's forces be present to evaluate these people. For him, that meant watching their hand-to-hand combat bouts and potentially joining in himself. He didn't believe the simulators would be useful in simulating the word of a scout trooper.

No sense watching those.

Hand-to-hand combat was always useful, though. Watching that had its merits. Participating would at least keep him from being bored. But for now, he sat to the side with his helmet off, taking stock of what Mahporeem had to offer.

As the great molecular furnaces landed on the somewhat spoilt surface of Mahporeem, Vanessa found herself approached by the same Confederation General who she had dialogue with on Zakuul, during the talks that had led to Imperial reunification. Unable to read him one way or another, at least initially, Vanessa could merely smile and observe the man as he approached her, making an introduction.

“We have to.” She said. “The Empire waits for no man, and I would prefer we begin aggressive reuse of the planet’s resources. The people here have all but given up on use of this scrap material, and now we can make more substantial use of it.”

For the time being, it was enough just to get them out of orbit and onto the world’s surface.

Mahporeem was not a scheduled stop in our journey. Imperial Supervisor Dayna Rhyss Dayna Rhyss had contracted me and the crew of the Doxa to begin charting a hyper lane from Alee to New Alderaan. That task was going well enough that we received permission to head towards the outer edges of Imperial space to search for a new colony for the Pantora League. I had my heart set on seeing the moons of Toola. But as we made our way further from the Imperial Core it seemed that Toola was much farther out than we thought. So when the call to aid Mahporeem came through I decided it was a worthy task to take on before returning to cartography.

I actually ended up only bringing our support shuttle and a small away team of a couple security officers, whose names I can't recall, and medic Inza Koornol Inza Koornol while the rest of the crew continued our prime mission. They would come and pick us up after a few days. Unless we needed them sooner.

For now it would be a little humanitarian effort and hoping for an opportunity to run into someone with Imperial clout. I am technically an Imperial citizen having been born and raised on Saleucami. But I was more importantly a supporter of the Pantora League. And while our ideals lined up well with the Imperial Confederation. We needed more than just supplies to encourage us to bring Admiral Loigis' fleet into the fold. We needed a home.

"Lieutenant Koornol, see if there is anything you can do to help at the hospital. I can handle handing out supplies here. If you spy anyone who looks important send for me."

It is a joyous moment for when another Imperial Remnant joins the Confederation. Remnants of the fractured Empire coming together to reform once more. Underneath the neutral exterior of the Field Commander, she did feel joy but didn't show it. Even if another Remnant was joining in, they still had to be vetted. Observed. Interrogated. This Remnant faction must be loyal or else the entire Confederation may fall apart. While many other Confederation members may be training the recruits, or helping out the civilians, Narantuyaa will be watching. Listening on conversations, keeping tabs on POI's and dealing with traitorous thoughts thoroughly.

Narantuyaa watched the hospital and the people passing out supplies to the civilians. Zelva her most trusted subordinate stood right beside her. ISS agents were already in the mix, listening to the civilians speak to one another. Some even poiseda as civilians to go undercover. Of course to the untrained eye, it make look like simple guards and standard Imperial procedure.

"Nothing?" Narantuyaa asked Zelva

"As of yet, nothing. Not from here or from the training fields." she responded

"Hmmm, perhaps we haven't dug deep enough just yet." Narantuyaa said "Come let's inspect the garrisons. Maybe our agents there have found something."

"That's far enough, trooper. You can drop us off here."

"Understood, sir."

Ronhar disembarked from the All Terrain Cargo Transport that he had hitched a ride on, along with a squadron of Junktroopers that he had ordered to accompany him to the Thryopa Shipbreaking Yards. Granted, Ronhar would have preferred a contingent of Storm Commandos instead of the soldiers he had with him, but they would have to make do. After all, he had his orders, and he was determined to carry them out to the letter.

Meaning that time was currently wasting.

Valuable time that the other Imperials could be using to undermine Mahporeem sovereignty and authority, something that was unacceptable regardless of who was doing it. Ronhar didn't care of the supreme leader of the Imperial Confederation himself was down here: this was his planet and his men, and he would be the one giving the orders, not some holopencil pusher from the Mid Rim.

As he and his men exited the walker and entered into the shipbreaking yards proper, they almost immediately stumbled upon the molecular furnaces in question. They were just as impressive as Ronhar had imagined. State of the art, as Graras would say. Still, Ronhar couldn't help but feel somewhat insulted at what he saw in front of him. Hadn't the Imperial who owned these read the reports on Mahporeem? Surely they must know that the Imperial Remnant was more than capable of utilizing its own resources properly? Ronhar was getting tired of being underestimated by these new Imperials, treated as if his planet was some 3rd rate frontier world.

Graras's words echoed in the back his head: "All this, for a insignificant little planet on the edge of the Outer Rim."

Clearly, no matter what the Imperial Confederation though about them, they did believe that Mahporeem held enough strategic value to warrant the allocation of such extensive resources. As to who was in charge of said resources...

Ronhar ordered his company to set up a perimeter as he radio'd his comlink:

"This is Captain Tane, requesting a Heavy Salvage Walker at the following coordinates."

Ronhar listed out said coordinates, and swiftly received a reply back:

"Acknowledged, Captain Tane. T-minus two minutes and counting, over".

With that order of business taken care of, Ronhar then turned to "securing" the area for the walker's arrival. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that their were two unknown Imperials of high rank having a conversation about the furnaces nearby.

Imperials that Ronhar did not immediately recognize.

He ordered his men to guard the furnaces, emphasizing that they NOT allow anyone other than himself to authorize their removal and relocation.

As he walked toward the two unknown Imperials, he did a quick scan on them with his cybernetic eye, crosschecking all available and classified records on the HoloNet.

The first Imperial seemed to be a rather important Captain by the name of Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss . From what Ronhar could gather, Strauss was both a brilliant tactician and an accomplished engineer. Just the kind of person would could appreciate Mahporeem for what it really was. He was apparently something of a career officer as well, and was seemingly well liked by both the enlisted ranks and his fellow officers alike.

The other Imperial was someone who went by the name of Onrai Onrai (Governor Vantai). For some reason, Ronhar felt a twinge of discomfort upon looking at her. Something about her seemed a little...off to Ronhar, though as to what it was that made him feel so he could not exactly say. Still, it was his duty as a solider to deal with this Governor, especially because the furnaces that had been brought to the planet were owned by her.

Ronhar made his way to the pair and introduced himself.

"Captain Strauss, Governor Vantai: My name is Captain Ronhar Tane, TK-3301. I am to be your liaison here on Mahporeem in Representative's Victport Graras's absence."

He took a moment to clear his throat, rather pointedly, before continuing:

Governor Vantai, I must thank you for your gift to Mahporeem, it will certainly be put to good use. However, allow us to take care of the installation of your furnaces."

As if on cue, the Heavy Salvage Walker came into view, slowly thudding along the surface of the planet. Far larger than even an AT-AT, the Heavy Salvage Walker's massive crane would easily be able to lift and transport the furnaces with ease.

Under the direction of Captain Tane, of course.

"You'll find, Governor", Ronhar continued, "that the Imperial Remnant is not quite as incapable as you think. We have been the masters of this planet for the last 900 years, and we know how to use every ounce of scrap that litters this planet's surface. I'm sure you'll find our abilities in this regard more than adequate."

He then turned to Strauss.

"Captain Strauss, I look forward to your continued cooperation with our Imperial Remnant. You'll find that a planet like Mahporeem has much to offer a man such as yourself."

With that, Ronhar turned back around and began to walk back toward the furnaces as the Heavy Salvage Walker began its preparations to begin lifting the furnaces off the ground...
