TYTHON DESERT OF SILENCE

Syn had become more of a hermit compared to some, while war raged he had retreated into his own training and solitude bringing himself to the desert temple Iella and he had restored deep beneath the sands. With the white current to hide the entrances and the droids making tunnels towards the deep moutains as a small cave he usually used for his own teachings. He trained padawans and left from time to time using the droids and his ship but mostly he now stayed to himself letting the hidden area work to his advantage and being the master few sought out had proven useful.

But that had changed or at least that was being a little different. He had heard a rumor while visiting for food and some equipment from the temple. That Sophia had possibly returned to the Republic. A friend from before she joined the CIS and he had lost touch.. but he did find the time to teach her daughter which was an important thing. It let them have soemthing to talk about even if he hadn't seen her as it were. Now he had left a note recorded witht he quartermaster to give to her as he returned. Taking the time to be freshly shaven and cleaned up while in the temple and securing the Fell Star in a caseing with his sigil.

Those were not needed with a friend and neither was the gungnir armor while he moved about inside the temple taking his time to prepare. Have some tea off cooking with the droid and some minor things that would serve a greater purpose later. You never knew what could be found on Tython and in the desert there were creatures that were dangerous and would give a challenge. His senses searching for her so he could open the upper entrance at the caves mouth before concealing the cave again. Perhaps he wopuld work with her to go and have a journey around to the ancient temples and we what they could teach each other.

Everything had changed for Sophia since the Confederacy but she was happier actually or at least she liked to tell herself she was. It gave her the chance to spend more time with her daughter as well as spend more time training. Her skills were severely lacking because of the work she had used to do. Today she was going to visit a friend whom she hadn't seen for a very long time. It was time to catch up with those whom she had been missing.

It sounded as if he was having more of a difficult time than she had. It was her time to be here for him in his time of need after all he had been there for her when she had been at her worse. What he was doing all the way out here but Sophia was bound and determined to find out why.

She could sense his presence out here in the desert however she couldn't see him as of yet. Hopefully he would revel himself to her and make things easy for her but if not she would go find him. It wouldn't be too hard or rather it shouldn't be.

As he sat there under the desert Syn perked his head up, the meditation of emptiness to clear all thoughts was letting his expand his senses outwards and throughout the area as he felt her. He was glad it hadn't been just a rumor while moving quickly grabbing a robe and his sash to ascend the stairs of the cave and bounding up the stairs that had been carved in the side of the rocks for others. He preferred it as coming to the caves entrance he stood outside in the desert feeling all of the heat and the sand in his mouth that had went dry.

He was starring and searching until he was up on top of the cave and stood rooted to the ground, to the earth as he sent out a small call, something she could use to find him and move forward with her own guidance into the deeper desert. He could even sense the crawlers on the desert sands as they scurried away. He moved then letting his senses track and lock on as his stride become wider with the force propelling him forward towards the edges of the desert. He was glad she had come more so because... despite what he might say compared to some or wouldn't say to others. He did get lonely out here but he kept him focused and ready in case the time came that he was needed to really fight.

Catching up and stopping only to stand there for a moment while he let the gust of wind kick up and flap his clothing around him. He looked towards Sophia coming to meet him and offered a smile, he had taught her daughter and Isabella was a talented child , his own children runnign around with their mother mostly to do as they could and be safe. He snuck away to see them and teach them whenever he could but someone had to be ready to fight for the people of the Republic in case they went to fall. "Sophia." He said the words more as a force whisper from the distance and so she could hear him while offering a small smile of thanks for her coming.

She hoped that now she wasn't busy at all she could use her time wisely and spend time with her adorable daughter whom was away training. Sophia had missed far too much time with her as it was and she didn't wish to lose anymore time that she could be spending with her. She was grateful that Syn was taking care of her training as she trusted him more than anyone to do right by her. He had been there when she needed someone most of all and now he needed her.

Sophia had no idea what it was that happened that made him hide all the way out here and be a hermit. She hoped that she could help pull him out of his funk and back into the real galaxy. Not only did his children need him but the galaxy needed him as well and everything would be alright.

"Syn, why are you out here hiding.." She whispered as she followed the clues he left to find her wayward friend. The woman was glad when he stood up to great her. She couldn't help but give him a big hug as he came into view. "How are things?"

He hugged her back and heard the question. He didn't know how best to explain it, the wars and most of the problems he had faced, had seen and there there was the getting swallowed by a leviathan well that really made a person think about their place in the galaxy. He was happy to train Isabella in the ways of the force and getting away to teach her then then return to his solitude was easy... That this woman he was hugging knew he had children showed the level of trust he had given to her. He let out a small silent chuckle squeezing a little with his arms around her.

"I am doing well enough and that Sophia is a long story." Something he would tell and make certain she knew to understand but he turned to look at the desert. He started walking and offered to take her things with a gesture of his hands. "I came out here to rest and find purpose again aside from training Isabella and my children... I have not seen reason to leave. It is peaceful and the noise that comes from most of the other jedi I can ignore and be away from. Grants peace and serenity." He kept walking deeper into the desert and ran a hand through his shirt hair.

"Besides there are far worse places to be in the galaxy an if the sith come here to attack I'll be here and ready. Not running around like a spider monkey with its head cut off. I'll explain inside, the place is actually quite nice compared to other places and I want to hear all about how you came back to the jedi and Republic." He continued to walk for a time towards the caves in the distance.

Square one, that was where Sophia was at again. She had been pushed out of her home and as such she gave the people what they wished. She left instead of fighting with those whom were calling for her head. It pained her greatly to leave the people she loved however she couldn't stay where she wasn't wanted. One day, she would free her people but for now she would focus on being her best. The woman hadn't given up, she was more determined now than ever to do something for the people of Chroma Zed.

As of late she had seen the confederacy go through many phases however this one was very dark. It was something she couldn't go along with. She had always been a light hearted person and there was no way that they were going to change her. They were beginning to remind her of those whom kidnapped her and that scared her. How had she missed all of that? It didn't matter anymore, that was the past. She needed to step into the future.

"Peace and serenity sounds nice," she sighed as she followed along with him to the caves. Lately she had none of that but it was something she was desperate for. Now that she was on her own essentially she would have plenty of time for meditation and reflection on what her next step ought to be.

"How is Isabella? Your children?" Now that she was with the Republic she hoped to have the chance to spend more time with her daughter. She was proud of her little one and how well she was taking to training. "What happened to me is also a long story. The confederacy has changed so much and not in a good way."

He kept moving them towards the caves, letting the illusion of it being just a rock not deter while he walked through it keeping the illusion up but coming into the inky blackness illuminated lightly by a torch and his lack of sight came in handy. "Well I would love to hear it." He didn't mention the children just yet, not while walking through the cave and heading down the twisted rocks that formed stairs and led to the small river Iella had found down here, the stairs to the temple on the other side while he stepped on the partially submerged bridge leading the way across.

He was buying a little time to think about what to say to her as he spoke more. "They are all doing good, your daughter is talented and learning fast, my children have been working hard. " He entered the stone arches and looked at her. "So this is where I have been staying, I understand it is pleasing to the eyes somewhat. There is boxes of food and water if your hungry or thirsty, meditation chambers and best of all there are plenty of places to relax to let all your cares disappear." For awhile at least he didn't add that but walking he entered the large chamber with seats set out.

"So must be exciting having come back to the Republic. How did this come about? I haven't been following the CIS closely."

"She's like her father in that way. He's very talented and I know she wishes to be just like him and fly." A light sigh escaped her lips as she thought of him. Sophia missed him but he was far too busy it seemed for her or their child. It broke her heart every time she thought of it but perhaps she ought to move on from that too.

The cave that Syn lived in was unlike anything that she expected but than again Sophia was thinking that it would be some little hole in the wall. A little fire in the corner and a blanket. Seeing all of this made her feel better about her friends living condition. It looked cozy and like a good place to just relax and be. "The short version is that I was pushed out. I don't fit their vision of the future. This new government doesn't care about the well being of the people. It's not what I signed up for years ago. I do understand that change happens but not like this."

Shaking her head she took a seat. "The politicians in each district didn't want me in power anymore and did what they had to in order to get me voted out. I tried to keep up with it all, the rebellions and the politics but something had to give. I care more for the people than I do the political side of things. I would like to see about rejoining the Navy now that I'm back at the Republic. It's so weird being back."

He found a place to sit and listen to that, the news of what had been happening to her was saddening as he went in and took a seat. The room designed like the room they had first met in on Coruscant with a window that led to a section of cave down below and sent a nice breeze instead. His legs crossing and sitting down on a cushion while offering one for her. He hadn't really met or known her husband but he trusted her judgement in people. She did after all consider him a friend which meant a lot in the run of his very very long life.

"I see, that is disheartening. When the CIS had formed and the jedi suspected but there was never any proof. Rumors, now they seem to be acting more openly. Drunkenwell was a tragedy that I could feel even from here, now they have gotten rid of their heart and soul. Feena Mason I heard went to the protectorate and runs Naboo, not an easy task but I guess it was a sign of that was happening all along." He didn't know much else but he thought about what could be said. "For me perhaps it is easier, I tired of what happened after I led jedi into battle. Fighting the sith to have them return and be spit upon because they fought to protect people. I tired of it and chose to come here."
