Description: With the loss of the both Rendili and Kuat to the Sith, the Republic has had to look at new designs for it's fleets. Enter the Resolute class Cruiser. With it's heavier armor and it's multitude of gun ports, the Resolute is designed to get close and slug it out with the enemies of the Republic. It's main advantage also causes it's major weakness, it's slow sub-light speed. Adding all of the mass needed to make it a formidable close in fighter has put a strain on the engines ability to maneuver quickly during an engagement.
