PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Reshe takes strongly after the Zeltron side of her family. Her skin carries the vibrant pink-red coloration characteristic of her mother's people, accompanied by dark hair, expressive eyes, and features that make her Zeltron heritage immediately apparent. The Human half of her ancestry is more subtle, most noticeable in the shape of her face and a handful of features that don't quite resemble anyone in the Tytrec family.

She favors attractive but practical clothing, usually with more color than strictly necessary. Reshe works with delicate objects for a living and dresses accordingly: fitted trousers, comfortable boots, sleeveless tops, short jackets, aprons, and plenty of pockets for tools. Jewelry is almost inevitable, although much of what she wears consists of damaged pieces she repaired herself or curiosities that weren't valuable enough to return to inventory.

Her hands provide the greatest contradiction to an otherwise carefully maintained appearance. Tiny burns, cuts, stains, and calluses accumulated through years of restoration work mark her fingers.

INVENTORY
  • Personal comlink
  • Datapad
  • Fine restoration toolkit
  • Jeweler's loupe and portable magnifier
  • Precision hand tools
  • Small sonic cleaner
  • Assorted adhesives, solvents, polishes, and restoration compounds
  • Several pieces of personally restored jewelry
  • Utility satchel
  • Compact holdout blaster — carried for personal protection rather than enthusiasm

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Warm, tactile, curious, and difficult to embarrass, Reshe was raised in a large Zeltron household where affection was given freely and privacy was sometimes more theoretical than practical. She enjoys people, conversation, flirting, good food, beautiful clothes, and anything with an interesting story attached to it.

Despite growing up around expensive objects, Reshe has surprisingly little reverence for monetary value. She is far more fascinated by the battered pendant worn by three generations of the same family than an immaculate gemstone purchased yesterday. Damage interests her. Repairs interest her even more. To Reshe, scratches, replacement pieces, imperfect joins, and signs of wear aren't necessarily flaws—they're evidence that something mattered enough for someone to keep it.

That attitude extends to people. Reshe is slow to judge unconventional relationships, unusual families, mistakes, or complicated histories. She doesn't believe everything damaged needs to be restored to what it once was. Sometimes the better choice is making something new from what remains.

Her father's absence has never been a source of particular anguish. She grew up surrounded by family and has never considered herself abandoned. As far as Reshe knows, her father was simply "Zeke": a handsome Human traveler her mother remembers quite fondly. He came into her mother's life, eventually wandered onward, and unknowingly left the Tytrecs with Reshe.

She considers that a reasonably good trade.

STRENGTHS
  • Steady Hands: Years spent working with jewelry, antiques, delicate mechanisms, and fragile materials have given Reshe excellent manual dexterity and patience.
  • Restorer: Reshe is skilled at cleaning, repairing, reconstructing, and preserving decorative objects, jewelry, sculpture, heirlooms, and small mechanical curiosities.
  • People Person: Reshe is outgoing, personable, and comfortable dealing with clients from wildly different backgrounds. Her Zeltron empathy makes reading the general emotional atmosphere around someone easier, though it is neither telepathy nor infallible.
  • Eye for Detail: Missing stones, mismatched materials, concealed repairs, tool marks, and other tiny irregularities tend to catch her attention.

WEAKNESSES
  • Not a Fighter: Reshe knows the basic necessities of protecting herself but has no serious military or combat training. Her blaster is an emergency tool, not an extension of her personality.
  • Curiosity Has a Price: An unusual object, mysterious provenance, hidden compartment, or interesting story can tempt Reshe into poking her nose somewhere it doesn't belong.
  • Too Comfortable With People: Reshe's affectionate upbringing has left her unusually open and socially confident. She can underestimate how deceptive, dangerous, or malicious someone actually is.
  • Sentimental Value: Reshe claims to be perfectly capable of separating work from emotion. The growing collection of supposedly worthless objects she couldn't bring herself to discard suggests otherwise.
HISTORY

Reshe Tytrec was born on Chandrila to a Zeltron mother and a Human father.

Technically.

In every way that mattered during her childhood, Reshe was simply another Tytrec.

The Tytrecs were an established Zeltron family who had made Chandrila their home and built a modest but respected business restoring beautiful things. Jewelry, decorative art, sculpture, heirlooms, intricate mechanical pieces, antiques, and assorted treasures passed through their workshop. Some were extraordinarily valuable. Others possessed no value beyond what they meant to the person anxiously waiting for their return.

Reshe grew up amid both.

Her childhood was spent beneath workbenches, behind display counters, and surrounded by a constantly shifting population of relatives, customers, friends, and whatever additional guests a Zeltron family had accumulated by dinner. She learned to polish metal before she was trusted to appraise it, identify gemstones before she was allowed to set them, and repair simple pieces long before anyone permitted her near valuable antiquities.

There was never much mystery surrounding her father.

His name was Zeke.

Or at least that was what he called himself.

Zeke had been a handsome Human traveler who passed through Chandrila and into her mother's life. Their relationship was passionate, enjoyable, and temporary. Eventually the traveler continued on his way. Only afterward did Reshe's mother discover that he'd left something behind.

Reshe.

The Tytrecs never treated the circumstances of her birth as scandalous. Zeke hadn't been expected to remain forever, and there was no great effort to track down a man whose full name her mother hadn't even known. Reshe grew up hearing the occasional affectionate and frequently unhelpful story about him, but she never felt compelled to transform a stranger into a missing parent.

She had parents enough. She had family enough.

By adulthood, Reshe had developed a particular aptitude for delicate restoration. Jewelry became a favorite, followed closely by small decorative objects and intricate mechanical curiosities. She enjoyed the challenge of taking something damaged and making it beautiful again without erasing every sign that it had ever been broken.

Then the Sith came to Chandrila.

Some members of the extended Tytrec family left. Others urged the family to relocate the business entirely. Those who remained—including Reshe—did so for considerably less dramatic reasons than resistance or patriotism.

Chandrila was home.

The workshop was theirs.

Leaving meant abandoning both.

So the Tytrecs continued working. Their clientele changed. Old customers disappeared or fled. New ones appeared. Family heirlooms suddenly carried different significance, and occasionally beautiful objects arrived in the hands of people Reshe would rather not ask how they'd acquired them.

Reshe nevertheless continues doing what the Tytrecs have always done.

She restores pretty things.

What she doesn't know is that the wandering Human her family remembers only as Zeke was actually Ezekiel Dashiell.

She doesn't know the name Dashiell belongs to her.

She doesn't know she has half-siblings, including Persephone Dashiell.

Most importantly, she has spent twenty-one years without believing anything was missing.

Discovering the truth won't finally give Reshe a family.

It will introduce her to another one.
