Description: With a high number of weapons with anti attack craft capabilities the Repulse-class makes a well suited escort vessel for larger cruisers and destroyers. While the main role of the Repulse-class is centered on defense it has a modest Offensive armament in the three quad heavy turbolaser turrets on the Dorsal hull. Six single mounted ion cannon turrets support the heavy turbolasers in anti-vessel duity. Thirty two dual Light turbolaser cannons offer both offensive anti-vessel and defensive anti attack craft capability's. Rounding out the offensive weapons load out of the Repulse-class are four Assault Concussion Missile Launchers.
Defensively in addition to the light turbolaser cannons the Repulse-class has twelve quad laser turrets, six flak cannons, and six anti-missile octets for anti-projectile, anti-attack craft, and anti-corvette defense.
Built with double reenforced frame and hull plating the Repulse-class has supirior hull strength compared to most ships of its class. Double braced bulkheads and blastwalls also assist in makeing the Repulse-class a tough target allowing it to stay in the fight when most ships of its class would be disabled.
A central cargo hold ajacent to the small ventril hanger can hold up to five thousand metric tons of cargo and consumables for a full crew for a extended thirty six month tour.
The crew compliment for a standard mission profile is six hundred and fifty eight personnel including officers, security, engineering, medical, flight crew, damage control, and normal operations personnel.
