STANDARD FEATURES
  • A tractor beam generator for assisting in fighters and other craft coming in for a landing and for taking over for damaged craft on approach.
  • A pair of tractor beam generators on two sides of the bow for grabbing small craft and other small ships
  • It has a smaller but still powerful version of the Starhawk Mk. I's bow tractor beam generator housed in the top of the bow in an armored cupola.
  • The bridge is actually in the lower bow of the ship, and has a ray shield protecting it along with a deployable armored screen in case of heavy damage.
  • Lots of fire control sensors and fire control stations prevent loss of weapons in the event of damage.
  • Compartmentalized and ray-shielded ammunition bunkers linked by ammunition elevators and with blow-out channels to space to prevent catastrophic detonation.
  • Strong electronic warfare suite to jam transmissions and interfere with locking scanners from enemy munitions.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Mon Calamari-designed layered particle shields and deflector shields. The power that would normally go towards other weapons can be channeled into the ship's shields meaning a twin-layer system can be created. But the particle shield has to sectional, with each proton cannon having a dedicated twin shield power buffer to allow for rapid on and off activation to allow proton charges to pass through the particle shields.
  • Comprehensive and heavily redundant damage control systems with a high emphasis on redundancy and rapid response. All turrets are sectioned-off, along with their ammunition lockers. There are pre-positioned fire-fighting hoses, breathing apparatus lockers, fire-fighting suits for more than half the crew, and every hallway, room, and mechanical component is covered by fire-fighting foam dispensers. These damage control measures are controlled by damage control centers scattered throughout the ship with overlapping fields of responsibility to increase redundancy.
  • Dedicated ammunition hoist system and resupply tracks able to run ammunition to and from the main magazines deep within the ship to the ready-use lockers nearer to the turrets. This system allows for an ammunition ship to supply a warship with thousands of rounds of ammunition in less than a day.
  • Modular sections of the ship can be easily removed from the hull by a dockyard, allowing rapid and comprehensive major repairs to be conducted, and this system allows for these warships to be constructed quickly in smaller shipyards and for entire sections of ships to be stocked at repair yards.
  • Fire-control sensors for the EM-2500's and J-28's allow these large number of weapons to engage incoming missiles, proton torpedoes, and fast-moving craft from long-range to short-range.
STRENGTHS
  • Powerful long-range guns.
  • Powerful shields.
  • Excellent damage control systems.
  • Good-sized hangar capacity.
  • Heavily redundant systems.
  • Excellent point-defense weapons.
  • Can operate efficiently in non-combat roles with minimal crew.
WEAKNESSES
  • Older design, lacks modern shielding against railgun-type weapons.
  • Outranged by railguns.
  • Crowded vessel, not much room for large cargos except for designed necessities.
  • Lacks assault capabilities without large vehicle bays.
  • Can run out of ammunition for its main weapons if not adequately supplied.
  • Expensive to build and outfit.
  • Requires a large crew to operate efficiently in combat.
DESCRIPTION
Designed in a strictly utilitarian manner the Repulse-Class takes more from its Starhawk-Class ancestors than its MC80 and MC85 ones, despite having shields designed by Mon Cala shield specialists, but with a hull with follows along the Nadiri Shipyards design principles which combines Imperial utility and advanced technology for the time they were designed. But as of the late, the newest of these warships are nearing fifty years old, and are in need of a refit and rebuild with modern defensive shields and armor. Although despite their age they have had new weapons installed, powerful J-28 and J-32 Proton Cannon Turrets. This vessel is not a Star Destroyer, in the fact it is designed to be able operate alone, and they never do, but are designed to land large assault forces, because they can only land a small force for a ship its size, a Marine Brigade. However, conditions aboard this type of ship are basic and can be cramped. Despite these short-comings, there are advantages to this, such as the fact these ships are designed to be quickly resupplied and quickly repaired. These ships' hulls are also able to be quickly built by shipyards.
