Strengths

• Mechanized Warfare - The engineers, outside of their duties as engineers, also serve as the crew for the various Republic Remnant land based vehicles, as such, they are adept at mechanized warfare and utilizing their various engines of war.
• Engineers - As their name implies, the Crops of Engineers are filled with.. Engineers. The men and women of the crop are skilled technicians in maintenance, construction, communications, logistics and other such things. They are the cogs that keep the wheels of the Republic Remnant moving.

Weaknesses

• Basic Training - Engineers are given very basic, rudimentary, combat training as they are either meant to be in the back lines or inside of a vehicle with a wall of metal between themselves and the enemy. They are not trained for true combat and are little better then militia in that regard.
• Poorly Armored - Unlike other Republic Remnant infantry, the Engineers do not have much in the way of armor donning a simple blaster vest designed to defend more against stray shrapnel then truly resist small arms [despite what the name of the vest may imply].

Description: The Corps of Engineers was created to fulfill a vital role on the battlefield, support. They do just about everything from maintaining the Republic's equipment, constructing defenses and FOBs, serve as crews of vehicles as well as support such as manning the communication equipment and other like tasks. The engineers are given very basic combat training and then are moved over to their more specialized training and are broken up into 'sections' based upon their future role. Those that will serve in FOBs and other such places behind the lines are sent to better learn construction, communication management and other such skills. The others are assigned to a vehicle class where they will learn to man it as well as how to make repairs and keep it maintained. They are deployed in large numbers due to their dual purpose of acting as both crew and support they are always in demand and are a very common sight.
