STANDARD FEATURES
- SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) and listening post housed within a protected section within the station. Here a team of Security Bureau operatives tend to detecting and monitoring sensors which feed information back to Bureau headquarters or the Station Chief in the area of operations. They also decrypt foreign communications, and monitor all directives and internal communications within the station. Security details such has monitoring space traffic in a sector is possible depending on the overall status of the station. Of note is that this team operates independently of the Navy command center on station, though will support all personnel aboard during active operations.
- Retribution Corps Barracks and Processing Center. A detachment of the FORC focuses on running scavenging and reclamation of materials, resources, technology, weapons systems, First Order sympathizing refugees, and persons of interest in the sector of operations. A small processing center serves as a light manufacturing and repair hub for preparing items recovered for speedy implementation. These can also be stored in a warehouse and either ferried back to headquarters or loaded onto ships docked upon the station.
- Medical Station. A standard suite of doctors and medics are housed here, each tasked with the purpose of aiding those wounded in service to the First Order. Enough supply exists here to resupply a number of ships that may be docked.
- Dock Bay. Here engineers store components and provide basic repairs to ships and starfighters attached in a quick and orderly fashion -increasing the endurance and operating time of a task force of ships in the sector. Enough space exists to service two Star Destroyers at a time. Because of the compact nature of the station, the tools to fine tune and repair advanced First Order systems are beyond this team’s ability; however, getting a battered friendly hull to combat readiness is possible.
- Hanger Bay. A basic hanger to store 2 squadrons are better served with dropships and haulers than a traditional troop of conventional starfighters. Also attached is a flight control center which can help monitor local space during engagements.
- Garrison Section. Instead of a dedicated force of defensive stormtroopers, a lighter reserve of mixed units usually assembled by FORC from all disciplines forms a basic company that can provide standard anti-boarder point defense. Their focus is usually geared to protecting escape pods and critical systems and not necessarily with holding every square centimeter of the station in the event of invasion.
- Cyberwarfare Station and Command Center. Tucked away in the toughest spot in the station itself is the area which houses the command center. Here top ranked personnel work in tandem with other systems to offer the very job possible in whatever conditions the crew might find themselves. A dedicated team of data specialists do their damnedest in protecting the vessel from cyber attacks and slicers, along with launching remote attacks themselves.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
- Kyber Modules. Found dispersed across the station in tactical hardpoints are the kyber crystal focusing modules across all systems from engines to weaponry to, most importantly, the shields. All is designed to focusing power from system to system to bring this station to a level of modern First Order design synergy despite the setbacks suffered by the once large empire.
Strengths:
- Rally Point: in the cold, hard reaches of space this class of space station can offer a fallback point during the heat of battle, or serve as an optimal launching point for attacks in any given sector. Their systems are designed in a support focus and generally they can improve the operational sting of any task force nearby.
- Mobile Surveillance on Demand:capable of operating without resupply for an extended period of time, this station can also provide a plethora of telemetry data and work as a first line of defense/detection. While the station itself isn’t very maneuverable its hyperdrive is designed to quickly engage, allowing the station to record massive bursts of information before fleeing the scene.
- Can Pack a Sting: armed with kyber infused turbolasers, the station can dish out punishment under a capable commander’s control.
- Skeleton Crew: a specialized layout and focus on minimizing and streamlining systems to allow the command center to have more control of every part of the ship means that a relatively small complement of crew can operate the lot.
Weaknesses:
- Don’t Tread On Me: while capable of some measure of defense, this station can be overwhelmed by a coordinated fleet. In those situations the basic tactical philosophy dictates that the station should fallback whenever such conditions present themselves.
- Boarding Hazard: working with such minimal elements in terms of crew and guards leaves the station at high risk from persistent boarding actions. It is ill advised for this station to attempt to hold out on its own when faced with a multitude of well organized boarders.
- Problems Multiply: due to nature in this station’s design with few pathways from area to another to make maximum use of limited space, it is quite possible to cut off areas and reduce the capabilities of this station by using concentrated fire on specific points.
Description:
Once upon a time the First Order commanded huge portions of the galaxy and utilized that might to construct huge behemoths to protect sectors. This, ultimately, was a futile gesture against the concentrated might of the Ssi-Ruuk Imperium. Now as the remnant slowly claws its way back to some semblance of relevance, the need to send out scavenger parties, monitor lanes of attack, and secure traffic near the final redoubt upon Pa’desh comes to the forefront of concerns. These stations were designed to help give the newly founded Retribution Corps a leg up while conducting reclamation operations in areas just expunged by the reptilian menace.
They were once caught unprepared -but never again would the First Order suffer such embarrassment.
