The Reorganized Galactic Alliance Guard (RGAG) is the reformed protective and internal security apparatus of the Reorganized Federal Government, operating openly as its guardians but holding ultimate, clandestine loyalty to Chancellor Salon Loghain.

Visually, they present quite the formidable image. Wearing brown tunics with brown armor overtop, their helmets featured a distinctive curve to them to protect them from incoming shrapnel and blaster bolts from above. Their unit emblem is a yellow star bird, with suns around it on a black background with a golden border.

The RGAG's mindset is one of absolute, fanatical devotion to Loghain's vision of order. They behave with cold professionalism in public, but their internal culture is built on suspicion, unwavering loyalty, and a readiness to eliminate any perceived threat to the Chancellor's person or agenda.

COMBAT INFORMATION:
The RGAG's primary function is protective security and internal defense, not frontline warfare. The General Security operates in squads, using standard infantry tactics to lock down areas, secure perimeters, and suppress civil unrest. The Supreme Guard functions as a seamless shield around the Chancellor, employing advanced defensive formations, evasive maneuvers, and extreme prejudice against any approaching hostiles.

They are self-contained and do not integrate with regular military units. The Guard Flight Core operates in coordinated fighter screens and rapid-response patrols around the Chancellor's flagship, prioritizing interception and point-defense over dogfighting aggression. All three groups are trained to work in conjunction during the Chancellor's movements, creating a layered defense from orbit to ground.

Strengths:
  • Layered Defense: The tripartite structure creates concentric rings of security, from general area denial (GS) to intimate personal protection (SG) and ultimate aerial superiority (GFC), making a direct approach on the Chancellor exceptionally difficult.
  • Unquestioning Loyalty: Every member is vetted for fanatical devotion to Loghain. This ensures operational security and a willingness to execute orders including those against former allies without hesitation or moral quandary.
Weaknesses:
  • Internal Focus: Their training and equipment are optimized for protective duty and counter-insurgency, not sustained frontline combat against dedicated military forces. They can be overwhelmed by heavy armor or large-scale troop deployments.
  • Lacking Combined Arms Proficiency: The RGAG is not trained or equipped to function as part of a combined-arms military force. They have minimal integration with armor, artillery, or regular infantry battalions.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The RGAG was born from the ashes of the Galactic Alliance's collapse.

Following the fall of Coruscant to the resurgent Galactic Empire and the catastrophic fracturing of the federal government after the Battle of Atrisia, the Alliance's protective institutions were left in disarray. When Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex engineered the rise of the Reorganized Federal Government as a compliant successor state, a new, utterly loyal security apparatus was deemed the first necessity.

Salon Loghain Salon Loghain was installed as Supreme Chancellor under Carnifex's directive, personally overseeing the purge of the old discredited Galactic Alliance Defenses Forces. Its ranks were then cleansed of idealists and those with residual loyalty to the old order, replaced by pragmatists, opportunists, and personnel directly vetted by Sith liaisons embedded within the new government.

The RGAG's first major deployment was not on a battlefield, but during the formal declaration of the Reorganized Federal Government on Takodana. Their imposing presence, in stark new armor, symbolized the end of the old, failed democracy and the harsh, orderly pragmatism of Loghain's rule.

Their most sacred duty, and the core of their identity, is the protection of Chancellor Loghain. The Guard Flight Core and Supreme Guard are in a constant, silent war against potential assassins and usurpers, both foreign and domestic. They are not celebrated as heroes, but feared as the unwavering enforcers of a difficult peace.
