+ Piloting: He is also an excellent pilot. Remmel started as an Imperial pilot for the Imperial Atrisian Navy. He can handle most any sub fighter and has an innate ability to navigate.

- Fear of Darkness: Because of a childhood accident during a rural excursion he was left with a deep physiological fear of darkness. He nearly enters a state of psychosis if he is trapped in a completely dark area. He was sometimes made fun of in the Academies on Atrisia because of this somewhat "childish" fear. It can, however, be quite debilitating. With continual force mediation this fear is slowly coming under his control.

- Xenophobia: Because of his upbringing as an Imperial and his own personal views he has a high level of Xenophobia. This limits his ability to interact diplomatically with races of Alien species. His hatred is also directed towards some cultures such as the Sith, who he views as a plague to the galaxy and the source of most of the strife that has come to pass throughout history.

BIOGRAPHY:

Ancient History of the Haark Clan: 0-40 ABY
The Haark Clan can trace its prominent linage back to days of the Imperial Empire under the rule of Palpatine. The Haarks originated on the planet Empress Teta in the core of the galaxy. The Haarks were staunch supporters of the Imperial Empire and it's ways since its formation and most of their members had some ties to the Empire. The Haarks were a unique family. Although they integrated into other governments and organizations, such as the Imperial Empire, they always strived to retain their identity and had strict record keeping methods so as to not loose their family history. The first notable members of their clan served as officers in the Empire. Some became high ranking naval officers and others throughout their line even achieved higher political ranks of governor and Moff. The first records of force users within the Haark Clan were during the final days of Empire. These force adepts were used by Palpatine as "hands" or other type of force adepts.
After the fall of the Empire the remaining members of the Haark Clan became less prominent in the galactic scene. Due to the inherit dangers of being caught by "rebel" or New Republic forces their "family" were led by one of their more notable patriarchs and took up residence in the outer-rim northern territories for some time. During that time they served whatever Imperial warlord, Grand Admiral, or Moff they felt deserved their loyalty.

Within the Imperial Remnant: 40-140 ABY
Eventually the Haark descendants moved to Bastion, establishing it as their new proclaimed homeworld, and served under the slowly forming and stabilizing Fel dynasty. The Fel dynasty became the closest thing to the Empire since the days of their old glory and the remaining Haark members aligned themselves quickly to said dynasty. A member of the Haark Clan known as Ricaud, a force sensitive and leader of his clan, became a member of the newly formed Imperial Knights. Pledging their loyalty to Emperor and their new empire the Haark Clan entered a time of political and economic growth.
Durring the resurgence of the one-sith movement and second imperial-civil war, Ricaud was appointed master in the Imperial Knights along side Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg. He became one of the heros of the imperial-civil war but he strived to maintain himself out of the public eye, never entered the limelight.

The breakout of the Plauge: 140-428 ABY
As with all our records, exact details aren't available as to the precise history of the Haark decedents from the time of the glory years of the Fel dynasty to the outbreak of the Gulag virus. What is known is that the Haark Clan continued to serve the Fel dynasty for several centuries. Their members never wavering from their loyalty to the Imperial Empire they continued to grow in influence and power.
Eventually the Imperial Knights were led by a Haark descendant known as Master Valin Haark. It was during that time period that the Gulag Virus began its outbreak on a galactic scale. Valin was dispatched by the Emperor and the Moff Council to investigate its effects, origins, and offer their support to Csilla, their long time allies.
It was however too late. The galaxy was entering a state of chaos and the Imperial Remnant were closing their borders. While Valin, his imperial knights, and fellow clan members were out trying to complete their missions the Haark clan was also being torn apart by the havoc. It is said that many of the other remaining members of the Haark Clan were killed by the virus, spread across the galaxy and stripped of their resources and absorbed by other governments. Valin and a handful of other Knights and Imperial officers were forced to seek refuge at another source, Atrisia.

Atrisia had been blockaded by the controlling Imperial forces to prevent the spread of the virus and the destruction of their planet. With little resources and nowhere left to go, Valin made a plea to the ruling Moff of Atrisia, Lee, to allow them safe refuge. The Moff was of course highly skeptical as to allowing this random group of Imperials occupy their homeworld. The Moff recognized the Haark clan name and their history as loyal imperial soldiers. He made a deal with Valin that in return for the services and loyalty of his group of Imperial Knights they would be allowed to have safe refuge on their planet. For protective measures, Valin and his warriors were put into custody on a nearby abandoned defense platform in orbit. They were observed for some time and it was verified that they weren't also infected by the virus. Moff Lee agreed to his terms, recognizing the possible benefits of having the loyalty of an Imperial Knight cadre and the symbol that Haark clan name. The Haark Clan then started anew with their forefather Valin on the planet Atrisia as loyal bodyguards to Moff Lee.

Atrisian Empire and the House of Haark: 430-840 ABY
Throughout the centuries the Haark clan became integrated in the Atrisian Empire. Their original role as "royal guards" slowly transformed into something more profound and dominant in the Atrisian Empire. The Haark Clan became one of the major Yovshin houses, its members serving within the military and as royal advisers to the line of ruling Moffs. Their unique lineage of Force users dating back from the days to the Fel dynasty slowly integrated into the Yovshin ways and were the first Yovshin used to form the "Inquisition" when the Atrisian Empire was ready to reveal itself to the rest of the galaxy. They however never let go of their strong imperial heritage and remembered their roots as Imperial Knights. This strong culture is what helped develop the Atrisian society that we have today.

Remmel Haark, son of House Prefect Jorin Haark and Caliza Haark, was born on Atrisia as heir to the head of his Clan. As a youth he was considered quite mature for his age, not like other young Haark clan members who used their name to gain unwarranted privileges. Remmel from a young age began his extensive training in the Yovshin Order and learned the intricacies that being a member of the royal court demanded.. He was trained in various forms of sword and staff fighting. He excelled with a lightsaber and Jar'kai swords in that style. His linage as an Imperial Knight was also clearly seen in his force abilities from a young age. Unfortunatly though because of so many demads on him in different directions he didn't hone his force abilities until later in life. Remmel grew into a young man and was known for his unswerving loyalty to the Atrisian royalty and to his own house. Eventually he was allowed to enter the Atrisian Royal Military Academy. It was during this time that while the cadets were out on an expedition that Remmel was trapped in a cave-in for nearly two weeks. This left him with deep physiological scaring and a fear of darkness. (see weaknesses)

After he was of sufficient age Remmel entered the Imperial Atrisian Navy and served some time, from the age of 18-23, as a pilot in a picket squad. His skills as a pilot were sharpened as he successfully flew several missions defending Atrisian space from pirate raiders and other new threats. He flew under the command of Vice Admiral Akio Kashoshi and eventually became a member in the "Emperor's Eyes" squad, the personal escort and defense squad to Moff Shu. His personal fighter, a TIE Defender painted black, was named the Emperor's Sword by the Moff himself. Remmel began to see the chaos the galaxy was in even after almost a 1,000 years since the plague. The rise of the Sith, and mortal enemies to the Haark Clan, were the ones to blame in Remmel's eyes. His faith in other organizations like the Omega Protectorate and even the Republic weren't strong either. He felt that the only way to establish order in the galaxy once more would be to restore the TRUE Empire once more.

During his service as a fighter pilot his force abilities quickly became more and more noticeable. His abilities were noticed by Vice Admiral Akio Kahoshi and Moff Shu personally. Remmel held the blood of his Imperial Knight forefathers and the Moff knew he could use him to his advantage. The growing need to protect the Atrisian Empire from other force users became a concern to their Moff, especially with surrounding threats to their sovereignty such as the Sith, the Omega Protectorate, and perhaps even the Jedi. He was recruited to join the newly formed Inquisition and trained for several years honing his force abilities within their secret fortress. When prepared he was named an Inquisitor. The Haark royal crest, the Silver Vornskr, became a more meaningful symbol to Remmel. This symbol was used by his House for centuries as many of their members secretly formed part of the inquisitors. Just like the Vornskrs of old, Remmel would be one of the primary tools used to hunt down and eliminate any threat to the Atrisian Empire.

Remmel Haark holds in high esteem his imperial heritage and his loyalty is to the Royal circle of the Atrisian Empire.
