That humble little planet sub has been in use since Moross took it over my friend. CETO was built upon the Morossi shipyards left behind.

Perhaps a planet with an unstable surface, causing crystal deposits that form underground to be pushed through to the surface? The natives consider them sacred shrines so will go on pilgrimages to new sites to pay homage and build shrines. So, sort of a nomadic culture.
