SPECIAL FEATURES
(+) The ring heats up when in the presence of the Darkside, cools down when near the Lightside.
(+) Through a mental command the ring is capable of eating away at the residual force energy near a focal point of power, be that dark or light.
(+/-) But instead of storing it for further purposes, it neutralizes it and then pours it out again. Effectively small-scale purification and neutralization of aligned force nexus, so the wearers won't be influenced by that which they are trying to contain in the first place.
(-) This takes time and more than a few wearers, though.
(-) There are places that are simply too full of ambient force for the ring to actually counter. E.g. the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan, places likes that. They will work for a brief amount of time, before making a single hum and then becoming inert for a prolonged amount of time.
DESCRIPTION
If there is one thing that Akure Executive Interstellar is known for, it's their containment and isolation of potentially dangerous sites where the Darkside flows heavily. Through trial and error they have learned the best ways to tackle these kind of problems and the Reliquum Rings are a part of the solution.
They are crafted specifically to counter the corruption and/or influencing of their containment teams when they are on the job, which is a real threat when you are securing Sith temples and other sites of the Darkside. The rings accomplish this by absorbing the residual force energy in the area, cleansing it of its 'alignment' and releasing it back without holding onto it.
This means that the rings aren't batteries by any stretch of the imagination. They can't be used for storage and subsequent usage, which was not the scope of the project.
Most of these rings are used in-house by Akure Executive Interstellar, but some have found their way into the hands of other trusted individuals who are known to handle the same sort of situations. Names like [member="Seydon of Arda"], [member="Mara D'Lessio Merrill"] and certain members of the Rekali Clan.
