Intent: To provide the Relinquo Preatore (The Forsaken Guard) a capable anti-energy armor system capable of sustaining them in combat while also providing an OOC resource to judge scenarios with them in a PvP/PvE setting.

While reports still are sketchy as to the background of this armor system, it's supposedly the container of a spirit or soul vessel of sorts. Rumors have it that ancient Sith warrior spirits fill these empty suits of armor and nearly make them impervious to energy weaponry and can pass through ray shields unscathed, partially due to their ethereal aura and the alchemized traits of their armor. However, once Titan Industries and sister corporations allied to the One Sith found out about this, they wanted a piece of the action right away. They deployed research and development teams right away along with Sith alchemists to recreate this armor with a Durasteel alloy to replicate the originals, thus making a limited supply of these suits.
In field testing scenarios, they're shown to display an extreme and near perfect resistance to energy-based weaponry such as blasters and ion cannons. While small arms variants of these weapons almost do nothing to the Relinquo Preatore donned in it, turbolasers are an entirely different thing and it has been speculated that the soul within would end up burning itself out resisting such plasma levels. However, sonic weaponry is their Achilles' heel. The compressed sound waves pose a great threat to the spirit within and can very well bypass joints in the armor and tear the soul inside apart, essentially killing it and rendering the armor empty.
As for slugthrowers and lightsabers, it takes upon a rather average design and only offers limited protection against slugs. Pistol rounds have been known to ricochet - and even fail to pierce the armor while larger rifle rounds make do on many occasions. There is a known killspot on the armor where a person's heart should be and piercing it through will almost undoubtedly kill the Preatore donned in the armor. A lucky shot may merely grant the Preatore a life-threatening wound and thus incapacitate them in combat.
Other options for eliminating the Preatore include: complete dismemberment/total destruction of the armor, cleaving off the head, or using blunt force to crush the armor inwards and inflict wounds on the soul within.
Essentially, it's an alchemized and somewhat ethereal armor system designed only for use by the Relinquo Preatore. It's more so meant as a vessel for these lost souls and is a perfect fit for their melee combatant mindset.
