CONTENTS
  • Possesses cursory knowledge of how to construct the Artifact, and an analysis on the transformation process of Sithspawn
Strengths:
  • Sithspawn Taming - The presence of a Relic creates a passivity among Sithspawn towards whoever holds a Relic, meaning a Sithspawn, whether created by a Relic, the wielder, or another force practitioner, will be disinclined to attack or harass the possessor of a Relic.
  • Sithspawn Attractor - In addition to making the possessor of a Relic unlikely to be attacked by a Sithspawn, it also acts as a beacon of the darkside, with its aura attracting a variety of Sithspawn to follow a Relic and guard it. This additionally makes it easier to find and hunt Sithspawn, considering it makes it more likely for the Sithspawn to appear before the wielder of a Relic.
  • Sithspawn Conversion - Over an extended period of time (many weeks or months) and exposure, ordinary living creatures will begin exhibiting peculiar traits of being converted into a Sithspawn. For a creature to be fully turned, it will at least take months, though the effects could take notice within a few weeks.

Weaknesses:
  • Strong Sithspawn - Some Sithspawn, simply cannot be tamed for anything. They are simply too strong to be influenced by a Relic even if they are initially effected by its presence, a slight provocation can change their mind. Particularly large Sithspawn are known to remain dangerous despite the Relics.
  • Sithspawn Attractor - Considering that not all Sithspawn can be tamed, it could be particularly dangerous to carry a Relic in an area where powerful and dangerous sithspawn are kept, particularly if one wielding a Relic already has a large following of lesser Sithspawn, as the presence of a single unruly Sithspawn not so easily convinced by a Relic not to attack its wielder, can convince the lesser Sithspawn as well to rebel against the taming effects of a Relic.
  • Sithspawn Conversion - The conversion process often associated with wild beasts, is not discriminate in what living thing it corrupts, which means if the wielder makes a Relic a constant possession, they will find themselves becoming turned into Sithspawn little by little. It is ill advised to hold a Relic in one's possession for longer than a week at a time, or suffer the consequences. Additionally, it should not be kept in any living quarters where living things one cares about are known to be, as they may undergo the effects as well. However - if one does not keep it in their possession, and a Relic converts a Sithspawn without them aware of it, that Sithspawn will attack the owner until they take possession of the Relic.

DESCRIPTION

The Relics of Ari vi Zveris are two ancient artifacts hidden away within the towers of Darth Vitus' Fortress, in the center of a massive Sithspawn infestation that overran the fortress in the intervening millennia between the time before the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War, and the end of the Four Hundred Year Darkness. When the Dread Masters made the planet their base of operations, importing various creatures from foreign worlds bent by their dark side of the force, the Fortress seemed to become home to the many displaced creatures after the Dread Masters were defeated. The Fortress though remained undisturbed for centuries, locked away save for a few locations only the creatures of the dark side would frequent. The remoteness of the moon also provided ample protection from intrusive expeditions.

It wasn't until finally after centuries isolated from the last attempted intruder, did a number of individuals (Starved Subjects of the Coven of Gluttony) search out and find the moon seeking artifacts, before encountering a strange beast where it should not have been to their knowledge. Initially besting the wounded creature, the group began to follow a blood trail all the way to the fortress, recording the trek across the eerie terrain for their masters (The Hungered Vassals). Inevitably, they lost contact, likely encountering a swarm of protective sithspawn beasts which slaughtered the Subjects. A month later, the incident was investigated by the Hungered Vassals who owned the Starved Subjects in question. The trio went together back to the remote moon, and followed the trail their subjects had lead, before they too ran into those beasts which had killed their subjects. They managed to best the beasts, and continued further, managing to fit through into the Fortress. Unfortunately, they encountered a hive protecting a dark aura which drove them back, fleeing. Two of them, managed it out alive, while the other.... was devoured alive, screaming to the last.

A few months later, and just as the Coven of Gluttony informed the Empire of the moons potential, the two organizations moved in unison on the planet, carrying with them the master of the Coven himself, the Lord of Gluttony, Darth Voracitos. Assisted by an Imperial advanced party, Darth Voracitos and the two surviving Hungered Vassals with dozens of fresh Starved Subjects following in his wake, began to tear through into the Fortress. Innumerable dangerous were thrown against them, and the majority of them were assailed by a 'mercenary' known as the Matador. The dramatic deaths of the beasts that surrounded them served as a plentiful feast for the Dark Lord of Gluttony, who consumed uncountable corpses in the force. Meanwhile, as they gained access to the Hollow Tower of the Fortress, one of the Dark Lord's Hungered Vassal utilized the power of Darth Voractios' Netherworld Soul's, and swiftly assisted the Matador.

Their combat in 'The Nest', as it was dubbed, was long and arduous before they could finally through their senses, located the beacons which had attracted such a heavy presence in the Dark side - The Relics of Ari vi Zveris. Darth Voracitos was instantly enthralled by the knowledge these artifacts contained, and further pleased they came in a pair, so as to appease The Matador with payment from the Coven of Gluttony, while gaining access to a new artifact to study within the Den of Decadence, in unlocking all of its hidden mysteries. The Hungered Vassals who initially located the artifact, were reward handsomely with many dozens of new Starved Subjects, and were spared from the Gluttony of their Master for a time, gaining a new prestige among their kind.
