“Blood Reforged. Voice of the Flame.”
Governing Circle of the Iron Covenant

OVERVIEW | DOCTRINE AND ROLE | STRUCTURE AND ASSEMBLY | RELATIONSHIP WITH MYTHOS GUARD | BELIEF AND LEGACY
OVERVIEW
The Rekav’dral is the governing circle of the Iron Covenant. Born from war, survival, and the long work of rebuilding after the Third Vong War for Kestri, it is not a council of mere politicians or warlords. It is a circle of those who have bled, built, and remembered - warriors, smiths, war-orphans, and exiles - gathered not to command but to guide. They are the echo of ancient Mandalore and the voice of a new covenant, chosen not by bloodline, but by legacy.
DOCTRINE AND ROLE
The Rekav’dral serves as the foundation to the Covenant’s soul. It is not a ruling body in the traditional sense. Its authority comes from the weight of oaths kept, the echoes of the fallen, and the living flame of tradition.
It functions by consensus and conviction, drawing from its members' wisdom to forge decisions that shape the entire Iron Covenant’s future.
Core Mandates:
- Summon and Sanction: Call fleets to action or censure those who dishonour the Covenant.
- Preserve the Codes: Guard and evolve the oral laws, the myths, and the runes of legacy.
- Forge the Future: Guide the rebuilding and protection of Kestri, manage relations with outsiders, and adapt to the galaxy’s changes without losing identity.
- Guard the Flame: Ensure the Covenant does not become tyrannical or stagnant, and that power never eclipses principle.
STRUCTURE AND ASSEMBLY
The Rekav’dral is seated in the Hall of Echoes, beneath the bedrock of Tor Valum - a stone-forged chamber where firelight dances across myth-etched walls and the shadows of the past seem to speak. When the fleets are scattered or war rages far from Kestri, the Rekav’dral convenes via encrypted star-chain holocircles where ancestral chants encode transmissions and ward against infiltration.
Titles within the Council:
- Echo-Speaker: Ensures myth and oath are upheld in every decision.
- Voidbrand: Speaks for the Mythos Fleet.
- Flameward: Defender of Kestri and head of the Verd’kandar.
- Mythkeeper: Custodian of story, relic, and oral code.
- Ashen Cloak: War-orphan or exile given voice as reminder of hardship.
- Veilbound: Mysterious representative of the Nynir’kad.
RELATIONSHIP WITH MYTHOS GUARD
The Mythos Guard serve not beneath, but alongside the Rekav’dral. These warriors do not speak in council - they protect it. Their presence ensures that no threat, treachery, or dishonour taints the Hall of Echoes. They are bound by oath to defend the soul of the Covenant, not its politics.
BELIEF AND LEGACY
The Rekav’dral does not seek glory. It seeks endurance - of myth, of spirit, of meaning. Its members are chosen not because they are perfect, but because they understand the price of imperfection. Many wear mismatched armor - pieces from fallen comrades, sundered wars, or reforged lineages as a reminder that no single legacy is whole, but together they form the Duran’keld.
Their creed is etched into the stone of the Hall:
“To be forged is to be broken first.
To lead is to bleed, then rise again.”
To lead is to bleed, then rise again.”
