Reim Imperium
The mind of Reim
The Senatus Populasque Imperium is the governmental, military, and scientific body of the Utero, a race of humans originating from the destroyed world of Utero Hominis.
Located along the outer rim and centered on the city of Reim, it expanded to become one of the largest empires in ancient galactic history. With an estimated 20 to 40 billion inhabitants and covering 16.5 trillion square kilometers during its height between the first and second centuries of the old republic.
In its approximately 12 centuries of existence, Reiman civilization shifted from a monarchy to a classical republic and then to an increasingly autocratic empire. Through conquest and assimilation, it came to dominate Southern and Western rims. Reim was preponderant throughout the dark era and was one of the most powerful entities of the ancient galaxy.
Senatus Populasque society has contributed to modern government, law, politics, engineering, art, literature, architecture, technology, warfare, religion, language and society. A civilization highly developed for its time, Reim professionalized and expanded its military and created a system of government called res Reiminian, the inspiration for modern republics such as the Galactic Republic. It achieved impressive technological and architectural feats, such as the construction of an extensive system of trade and ships, as well as large monuments, palaces, and public facilities.
By the end of the Republic, Reim had conquered the lands around the outer rim and far beyond. The Reiman Empire emerged under the leadership of Augustus Caesar Vindictus. 721 years of Reiman-Mandalorian Wars started in 92 BBY with their first war against the mandos. It would become the longest conflict in galactic history, and have major lasting effects and consequences for both empires.
Not long after war had ended, the Supernova of Astrum happened, and the core planet of the empire was destroyed. The current Imperator was presumed killed, along with most of the Senate and the military leadership. It created a power vacuum, which all the Proconsuls of the nine systems left under control of the Utero tried to claim through five years of warfare.
The SPQI had been in hiding, rebuilding as much as they could until they returned, conquering each system over the next three years. For a time, for the next two years, peace was present again, until hordes of savages assaulted them on all sides. The weakened state of the SPQI left them vulnerable enough for the next four years of constant battle against the barbarians of the 'Wild Galaxy,' until a single, massive swarm of 'United' barbarians assaulted them at their weakest points, sweeping through to pillage and rape wherever they went. Eventually, the Royal Family, the Vulsos, had survived along with a few hundred Praetorians and their families, and fled to a villa on Naboo.
For the next near three centuries, they hid, watching as the galaxy rebuilt itself until the Clockwork Rebellion, when a single assault from evil machines under the control of an unknown AI from Corellia attacked the Vulso Villa. It left the Praetorians nearly wiped out, and thus weakened for pirates to come three months later and destroy them, all except for the few who had managed to escape before the initial attack, this included Tiberius Petronius Vulso, the heir to the throne of the Senatus Populasque Imperium.
Some few years later the new Imperator, along with his humbled overseer, Myron Aquila, were able to re-build their armies. The Imperium managed began construction of a new Reim on the ice world of Hoth.
It was as if history was repeating itself all over again.

"We are conquerors! We strive to take hold of what was once ours, and then some. The galaxy is torn apart by constant war, and we aim to reunite it under a single banner once more. This has not been done since the days of the Old Republic, or the First Galactic Empire. We realize that the ways we do this are... inhumane, at best. Monstrous, at worst.
But what else can we do in such a grimdark time? A time where the Sith and their daemons run amok, burning and raping as they place. A time where Jedi sit around in their chambers and caves or pretty jewels and meditate, and when the military of the Republic and its allies are incompetent fools, and a time when crime, barbarism, SAVAGES run wild and free, with nothing to stop them. What do we do?
We kill them. Through sword, and gun, and ship, and gas, and nuclear fire, we kill them so that their people shall not suffer. Those who resist shall be put to the sword and the cross for the preservation of order and civilization.
In Reim, the new base and soon-to-be capital of the SPQI, our forges and factories churn out the tools of war, all to supply our men and women-in-arms, all who fight and die for your safety, for order, for peace.
Reim is civilization.
Reim is order.
