  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Songsteel sword
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Sword
  • Size: Small
  • Weight: Very Light
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Poisoned blade
  • Curved handle
  • Very lightweight
STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaber Combat Friendly: The songsteel in the blade enables it to match up against lightsabers.
  • Blood Diamonds: The blade is poisoned by Devaronian blood-poison jewels, which are incredibly painful upon contact with flesh and, when exposed to the bloodstream, release an infamously potent toxin.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited Reach: The blade isn't very long so its reach is limited.
  • Plays Better With Others: While it is lightsaber resistant, it is not recommended that one charges into a lightsaber duel with only this weapon, as the design isn't really ideal for duels. Ideally it would be paired up with a lightsaber and used to damage/poison the opponent while they're distracted by the saber.
  • Blood Diamonds: The poison must be reapplied every so often so as to retain its potency.
DESCRIPTION
The origins of this weapon aren't super complicated. Messala had it forged from songsteel, a very light, luminescent metal with a natural resistance against lightsabers, then applied the Devaronian blood-poison to the blade himself. The poisonous substance must be re-applied every so often, or else it will lose effectiveness.

In combat against a lightsaber-wielding opponent, Regret is best utilized as an accompaniment to a lightsaber. Use the saber to deflect your enemy's attacks, then slash at them with this poisoned blade. Even the slightest contact with the victim's skin will be extremely painful, and drawing blood will poison them. Hit them enough times and even if they walk away from the fight, they will need immediate medical attention or they will die a painful death.
