Making them bigger or upping the requirement wont change the current activity of major factions. They were conquering the map before there were any incentives to do so and the largest a ship could be was 2,000 meters. It's just going to speed the power creep mentioned in the factory as everyone looks to the new shiny thing. Really if a major faction needs the incentive of a SSD to stay active they need to reevaluate, it's not going to save a faction on the decline. That said, I do like the group effort and shared stories these were made to prompt.
