ADVANCED SYSTEMS

[*]Y1 Droid Brain.
[*]Anti-Sensor Coating.
Strengths:
  • Speed and Agility. The Reesha is extremely fast and agile.
  • Anti-sensor. The hull is made from fiberplast and coated in reflect. While that makes it very vulnerable against any serious attempt to wreck it, it combined with its color and small size make it difficult to spot the drone. Unless it uses some of its more active sensor bursts.
  • Sensory Suite. Its sensor suite allows it to scout out systems in a very comprehensive way. It does not have dedicated sensors for full-stealth ships, but its suite can track ship exhaust and metal in the hulls.
  • Automated. The drone is fully automated and needs no crew.
Weaknesses:
  • No armament. It has no offensive capabilities. Period.
  • Sensor Suite. Its more high-grade functions can be picked up by starships on the look-out and expose the fragile drone.
  • Little defenses. All it has is a low-grade energy shield to protect against solar radiation and astronomical object collision. Anything more than that will shred the drone easily.
  • Automated. Any malfunction or critical damage has the potential of neutralizing the drone as there aren't any organic crew members on-board. It must rely on automated repair protocols or attempt to return to the nearest Didact drydock for repairs otherwise.
  • No Landings. Flight only. It has no ability to properly land on its own.
Description: Another piece of the Didact Navy strategy is the Reesha. A scaled-down automated drone with powerful sensory equipment and anti-sensor coating ensures that wherever Didact decides to intervene, they will have extensive knowledge of the battlefield prior to insertion. More often than not without tipping their hand as well.

Powered by the J1 Droid Brain the Reesha is highly autonomous and can dedicate the full extent of its space to its sensory equipment, advanced hyperdrive and other fast propulsion systems. As a result of its specialization it has nothing in the way of armament or any real defensive capabilities.

It must solely rely on its speed, agility and anti-sensory hull make-up to avoid detection.

If detected its only option is to run away and hope to escape.

Maneuverability Rating: Extreme Speed Rating: Extreme
At the moment, the Factory is not approving mass-produced subs with "Extreme" for a rating, despite that this is otherwise perfectly balanced. What we could do, is change production to limited, which may be more to your benefit anyways because of the stealth tech.

From the starship rules:

  1. Particularly rare or powerful special features may necessitate using a lower production (for example, cloaking technology, gemcutters, crystal gravtraps, equivalent stealth or anti stealth technologies, or rare canon technologies and their equivalents will only be permitted at Semi Unique production)
I don't think we're at the level of cloaking devices in terms of power, so this doesn't need to be semi-unique. On the flipside, unless this stealth is purely fluff, we can't have it be at mass production either. Changing the production to limited will fix this area as well.

From the template:
Defenses: (You may provide your shield and armor systems in list format and must provide your vessel an Defense Rating. (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, Moderate, High, Very High, Extreme. Where None is a man in a space suit hanging on to an engine,
I'm going to argue that having a shield, as weak as it is, is more protective than a "a man in a space suit hanging on to an engine".

By changing production to limited, we can also bump up the defense to "very low" to account for this. In addition, there is one other rating area that you could bump up. Alternatively, you could forfeit that spare rating and increase a special system (like sensors, for example).
