The Olympian Armorsmiths received a new design from their Imperator to work on and realise as a weapon of high potency. Based on an smaller design, the weaponmakers were to build a new type for capital ships. The weapon was designed to be able to take out both heavy ships as well as tear through thick armor or fortifications. It is ideal for heavy brawlers and dreadnoughts.
Designed with two firing modes, Blast and Focused, the cannon would have the option to be deployed against more general targets and group of targets with the blast mode, offering a slightly reduced area of effect, but still extremely powerful burst of concussive and kinetic energy. The Focused mode would reduce the overall area of effect to point of contact but turn the concussive energies to a pin-point concentration, giving a vastly improved armor- and even shield-piercing capability.
