APPEARANCE:
Always clad in regal attire, Redarr very much looks the part of a politician. Wrinkles have formed under his eyes as the stress of life and time itself continue to take their toll, though Redarr does have what many would consider to be a "kind" face and he does his upmost to maintain this reputation. Largely free of scars, Regarr does use his well-groomed facial hair to hide a distinctive scar that runs from his neck to his right cheek, the result of a childhood accident. Often clad in gloves, Redarr does wear a simple sliver ring that identifies him as a widower, a tradition developed among the aristocratic human families on Sluis Van. Redarr often sports outfits that prompently feature the color blue and gold, the colors of the Rimward Trade League and his own political party, the Sluissi United Front.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a prominat shipbuilding family, Redarr was born into moderate wealth and was destined to be the same aristocrat his father had been. Yet this destiny was altred with his fathers assassination when he was barely a teenager by a radical Sluissi terrorist group that sought to drive the both human and Bith settlers off Sluis Van. While most individuals would swear revenge, Redarr instead dedicated his life to understanding what was driving the native population to attack non-native species. The truth was that the native Sluissi had been reduced to second class citizens as they simply could not reproduce at the rate of the endless stream of human settlers, not to mention the countless wars that have deviated Sluis Van and its population over the centuries. Redarr, driven by the plight of his fathers assassins, entered politics along with a growing faction of individuals who sought to reestablish Sluis Van as a major power in the Outer Rim. Despite Redarr and his factions best efforts, the species of Sluis Van began an era of infighting that barely escaped devolving into a full civil war.
A diplomatic solution was finally reached and the Sluis Van Congregate was altered to ensure all species were equally represented, despite the actual population size of that species. This delicate compromise was Redarr's work and as result he was elected Khedive, taking the executive role in government while also managing the galatic affairs of Sluis Van, especially in regards to its joining of the Rimward Trade League. Yet with this new role on the galatic scene, Redarr finds new challenges from both the galaxy at large as well as lingering tensions on his homeworld that could spire out of control if the situation is not properly monitored. Despite this, Redarr stands ready to face the challenges of the future.
