The "tough girl" couldn't hide the fact she'd been crying. The red-rimmed eyes and tear streaked cheeks plus the sniffles gave Delila away, but Dirks didn't make a smart ass comment about it; something he might have done in his brash flyboy days. Instead, the Rendili just smiled and pushed the button to close the turbolift doors a little faster leaving them alone in the lift.
"What actually would be more funny is that we have adjourning rooms," Hutch said, shaking his head with a chuckle as he pulled his key card from his pocket and flashed it to her. The number 912 showing. The number on key card in her hand read 910. Even numbered rooms were on the same side.
"How ironic, huh? Don't worry, Red… I don't snore so you shouldn't hear a thing, though sleep walking I did do as a child."
