Red Ravens, One Sith, and other crap

[member="Elizie Adasca"] see I disagree with you a little there.

The central conflict for most Jedi is well...being a Jedi. It's hard to be truly selfless, brave, and trying to do the right thing in a galaxy that doesn't want that. When you've got depravity and war crimes going on in most threads, responding in the Jedi way isn't easy. Battling human(or other species) true nature is a central conflict. If you see a Jedi torturing folks or acting like a villain, well I wouldn't classify them as anything more than a dark Jedi or soon to be sith.

As for Sith, I've always treated the dark side like a drug for those who use it. It's the easier path, and embracing that intense power has costs. You lose yourself, and the battle is either holding on to your reason for going that route in lieu of just pursuing power was always the central conflict over the last ten years Ive been writing.

I like blurring the lines, but there comes a point when people lose touch with the universe we Roleplay in.

[member="Ali Hadrix"] good idea, just try to limit the number of dominions. I once sent the republic on 3 dominions while doing an invasion(this was a year ago when I was FA) and folks got burnt out pretty hard on doing republic business.

To go off of your Dark Side is a drug comment, I agree with it! However, just because a person is using that drug, does not mean that they are using it for only one purpose.

That is a strange statement, but bear with me.

Drugs as they currently are in our society (most of them started as something else entirely) are typically seen as recreational. The Dark Side is typically seen as the fast path to power. Sherlock used drugs to help him see things and solve problems, he was not using them to relax. Thus, I see no reason that people can't be anti-villains as was stated. Using the Dark Side to erradicate a few cultures that are seen as cancers on society so you can make a grand peace for the galaxy as a whole...

Just my 2 cents, and yeah I know there are logical fallacies all over it. :)

Bath salts. Lol. I want to add that quote to my signature. :D :p

"The Darkside. It's like bath salts." - Wraith Jr.
You laugh, but it's a serious problem at the ER where I once worked. People do some pretty messed up things after using them the wrong way...

[member="Gir Quee"] Yeah, I have a pretty sick sense of humor at times. However, my apologies. I shall refrain from adding that quote to my signature. Well... At least until we fight the OS again. Sh'maybe. :)
