Recopia

Four days. Four, long, silent days. That was how long it had taken her to escape Veradune without failure, and even then they had noticed her ship's absence not long after. Getting the ship off the planet was the easy part, especially when one had a stealth drive, but getting to her ship was a tiresome act. Her force signature had constantly been cloaked, and she herself had to hide in the most secret of places to evade capture. Once they had learned of her disappearance from the Vitae's main grounds, guards had endlessly searched for her. Unfortunately, she'd had to face a few of them, but she did not kill a single one. She couldn't do that to Vulpesen. Not after everything that had happened...

Minna stood before the secret entrance to the Assassin's main base, her hand pressed against it's discreet door. She did not knock, but instead expanded her presence in the force as much as possible, so that those inside would notice her presence. Specifically; [member="Darth Ferus"]. Once she was confident that she had been detected, she stepped backwards back out onto the beach, waiting for the Zabrak to exit his hidden fortress and talk to her, hopefully alone. Her gaze turned to the left for a moment, to the Sicarius-Class infriltrator that was parked on the coastline. Inside, she knew, was her child, who had made things much harder when escaping Veradune.

Her reasons for escaping the Vitae were not to harm them, much the opposite in fact. She hoped to convince Krest to leave the Sith, to come to Veradune with her and live in peace. If the others would not allow him on the planet she would make them; their child deserved a father. However, a small feeling inside her doubted he would do so, which was why out of precaution she had brought her two lightsabers, now holstered on each side of her belt.

She so dearly hoped it didn't come to using them, but she honestly had no idea how it would end up.
If it did become a fight though, only one would walk away alive...

Deep within the Assassin's home Ferus had actually been sleeping. It was a rare thing for the Sith Lord, not because he was terrified, but because he had augmented his body in such a way that sleep was no longer needed. Now, it was a way to pass the time when he needed to. But such an useless sleep would cause him to stir at a moments notice. Blue eyes would snap open as soon as [member="Minna"] 's signature came to fruition.

Without pause or even bothering to get dressed, the red man would fly from his bed. Wearing only slacks and the bracer that held his hidden blade, the Darth would practically kick open the door. He wasn't angry, yet, but curious. The Sith was not sure if it truly was his beloved, but after the secret door came down it changed. Hardened features from years of discipline melted without pause, and the Red Assassin would rush over to hug the only woman he truly loved.

"You escaped them! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to break you out, or even save our daugh- Our daughter, where is she?" Happiness melted away to paranoia until the red man felt her signature. It was familiar enough to the woman in his arms to explain it. The smile returned, wider than ever as his blue eyes went back to the females form. "You saved her too.. And brought her home! Come, I'll wake the others. You must be hungry, I can get them to make some food. This is a glorious day!"

Minna smiled at the sight of her lover, embracing his hug with her own arms. She held tightly for some moments, savoring the hug while she could. Inside, she was happy, but only until he mentioned the others, at which pointed she pulled back slightly and straightened her face. "No, Krest..." Her eyes fixed on his, a worried look in them. "I can't go inside. I can't see the others." She began with the words to explain what was going on, but something was making it hard. Fear. Fear of Krest being upset, angry at her for her actions. Nevertheless, she continued. "I came to bring you with me... To Veradune..." No matter what he was about to say, she would try and cut his voice short, wishing to be heard. "We can start a new life, in peace. Away from... from this. No more serving a mysterious dark lord, no more hiding in the shadows. We can live together. The three of us." Her head gestured towards the ship where their daughter was. As she stared into his eyes she looked for any sign of reaction; a deep hope that he would come. The desperation could almost be smelt on her.

She awaited his reply.

Slowly the Sith Lord stopped his walk to the temple. Her words hit him with a delay, his mind trying to comprehend what it was she was saying. Leave? Forsake the Dark Lord and leave with [member="Minna"] and his child? For a second, the thought actually picked at a small part of his heart he had thought gone. Hope, hope to be free of a master. For all of his life he had a master, whether on purpose or not, some nice, but most were terrible to him. At the end of the day, Ferus was little more than a loyal dog with a loud bark to his masters.

But to be free of it. He wanted it. Deep down he wanted to leave all this behind, join with Minna and just be himself. Doing so would make him an enemy of the Sith however. Sure, he could handle it, maybe some assassins would be sent for him. And he wasn't even afraid of the notion of death. But his mind flashed to a memory that sickened him. Alex's trial, what they did to her. The concept of having it done to him wasn't the issue, but..

His daughter. If he left with Minna and the Sith came for them, what would they do to their daughter? Already the child would have a target on her back because of her mother, already she was in danger. The Sith would butcher the child if he ran with her, make them both watch. Fear seeped through the Lords form, pure and genuine fear as the first day he killed someone. It was quickly swallowed as the Darth turned to Minna once again.

He loved her. He loved this woman more than anything. Well, almost. Their daughter was precious beyond one another, and he felt that the Red Jewel would feel the same. Stepping back over to her, he would smile wide, once more going to hug her form. "Very well, let us leave together, as a family." Tears slid down his cheek he wrapped one arm around her. Tears that could seem to be joy, but as his right hand rested against her stomach and the hidden blade would shoot out to pierce her flesh, the real reason was to be revealed.

To protect their child from a terrible fate, Ferus would have to kill the only woman he could ever love.

The silence, the wait. Minna tried hard to probe the Zabrak's feelings but found nothing. She was too worried with herself to be able to effectively see into another. He turned around and faced her, and in that moment she smiled. It was going to work out; they would finally live in peace. His hug came in and she accepted it openly, a wide grin on her face as her lover had finally returned to her. "Very well, let us leave together, as a family."
Metal sliding against metal sounded from below, flesh parted and a sharp pain pierced her stomach. At first she didn't understand, her emotions and thoughts still focused on this wonderful moment. Her hopes and dreams had come true. Yet, they hadn't. In fact, they were ripped away from her now. She looked down, seeing the blade that had stabbed her, blood running from it's wound. "Krest?" One word, his name, spoken in confusion. A look of disbelief rose as she looked up at him. Suddenly she felt weak, her arms instinctively gripping onto his shoulders for support. "Veradune... We... Asajj..." Her head shook at him, eyes narrowed and mouth open. Whatever was happening seem unreal, yet the pain brought her back to reality. It was not only blood running from her, but tears. The dams had burst and the liquid streamed from her eyes. All she could do was pull herself in tightly, the blade puncturing her stomach ever more yet making no difference to her pain. Her mouth was by his ear, and with the last strength she could muster, she spoke;

"I understand."

Her grip immediately loosened, her whole body falling backwards from the blade. Falling to the sand of the beach, Minna merely stared into the sky. She could see the clouds clearly, along with a single bird flying across. There were no longer tears in her eyes; she was no longer sad. She knew what Ferus had to do, it was for the good of their child. Finally, a mere whisper;

"Goodbye."

Then it came. The light faded from the sky, now it was darkness. The wind stopped, now it was calm. Ferus was gone, but she was not alone. Her eyes opened, but they were never closed. She sat up, her gaze never changing direction. Her form had changed, her hands were now green, with only three fingers. She was smaller; her original body once again. But this was not a living form. Infront of her stood two similar creatures; one male and one female. They smiled at her, and she smiled back.

"Minna." They said in unison.

She said nothing, just looked at her parents.

"Home, you are."

Trembling hands would not let [member="Minna"] fall to the ground. Instead, the Sith Lord, despite his actions, would lay the mother of his child down ever so gently. Her words had reached his ears, but the grief of what he had to do kept the tears flowing. Slowly, with her in his arms, he would run his hand across her cheek, being sure to be there for her final moments. It did not matter that this needed to be done, there was still sadness.

Darth Ferus watched the light leave the eyes of his beloved, never once for a second looking away. Throughout his life he had killed thousands, directly or indirectly, never once caring or even remembering the faces of those he slayed. But this, this would be a memory he would live with forever. Even after she faded away, he would continue to hold her, leaning down to plant a single kiss atop her forehead.

He had truly loved her.

But now, now he was going to have to focus on his daughter. It was the only thing left for him now. Laying Minna's body down, the Red Assassin would step towards her ship, slowly making his way onto the ramp. It did not take him long to find the child, for she was crying out for a loving embrace of her mother. Something she would never have again. Lifting the child up in his only real arm, the Zabrak would cradle her, slowly rocking her back to sleep. She was all that mattered.

There was business to attend to however. Now, with the child asleep in his arms, questions began to go through his head. Who caused her to betray the order? Was it just the Vitae? Or did her master have something to do with it? Was Arcanix responsible for all of this in some way?

Moving to the ships com, he would send out a message to the only person he actually reported to. His voice did not crack, and it was as if nothing just had happened. He could not afford to show weakness to the man he was about to speak to.

The Dark Lords Wrath, [member="Reverance"] .

"Lord Wrath, I have just slain the traitor Darth Valtryx. She had come to the Assassins in the hopes of bringing me to the Vitae Alliance, but that is no longer an issue. It is unusual for a Knight with a master to suddenly switch sides and be willing to return to a location their master would reside. I request that I be allowed to interrogate [member="Darth Arcanix"] , and if she is a traitor, the authority to end her life."

It was a passing thought. He was not sure of Arcanix was a foe, but her want to make the Sith peaceful, to change them. She very may well of become the very reason he had to kill the mother of his child. And if that was the case, she would find nothing but death.

Hakora was laying in bed looking up at the ceiling thinking about everything that had transpired. His computer alarm began going off as a security breach had occurred. He got up quickly to see what had happened and noticed a certain ship had left. Hakora sighed and moved to put on the armor his sister Alexandra had given him before her death. Hakora dropped the helmet to hide his identity and left for his ship. He was already behind when his ship left the planet following the trajection of her ship.

Hakora's ship entered orbit on a planet he had never been before, but his training taught him never to land next to the target you were following. He piloted his X-wing a few clicks away and powered down. He got out of his ship and grabbed his lightsabers and made his way to Minna's ship location. Hakora moved through the woods until he came upon a temple of some sort. He looked around, unsure where he was and then his eyes stopped on a black dressed figure laying motionless on the ground. Hakora rushed over to the body to find the new body of Minna covered in blood. Hakora was lost in confusion, a wound in her stomach revealed her death area. He pressed two fingers to her neck for life, who could have done this. Hakora slowly stood and looked behind him and saw a door of some sort with markings he did not regonize and then he felt it. His blood started to boil at the feeling of an enemy he had been hunting. Hakora stepped over the body below him and slowly walked towards the ship.

The closer Hakora got, he felt it was clear that Krest was present. Hakora's sister Alexandra was dead, a fate he had promised would never happen. Hakora was not with her when she died and Hakora knew that was because of the rift caused between them which was due to Hakora's distrust of Krest. Now, not only was Krest responsible with Alex's death, but now he had Minna on his hands. Hakora's rage burned with a righteous fire the closest he got, but also a literal fire. His hands began to erupt in a small spark hat became flames from Pyrokenesis, "KREST, YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS, ALL OF THIS!!!!"
