Red, Gold, and Bells

Cross grinned wildly as he landed the little shuttle on Zeltros. He was more than ready to see Rikki again after such a long time. No matter how much he'd gotten drunk, he hadn't been able to stop thinking about how much he missed her for months, and he wanted to grab onto her and not let go for a few days.​

He walked out into the main spaceport and looked around. Just where was she?​

Oh, God that flight was a long one. Rik'Tani stretched her arms until they popped, shaking out her hands. She'd come to Zeltros all the way from Tattooine after a job that took three whole months to finish. She hadn't wanted Cross to come because he had things to worry about as an Admiral. But she'd never felt so alone without him.​

Rikki held her suitcases in her hands, looking around for her red-headed lover.​

Cross smiled as he caught sight of Rikki looking around for him, same as he was for her. He didn't try to sneak up on her or anything, simply because he wanted to put his arms around her and hold on until people started giving them funny looks. He simply walked straight up and squeezed her.​

"I missed you, Princess."​

​

The grin on his face widened as he held onto her. He'd missed being happy.​

Rikki dropped her suitcases, latching onto the tall, lean redhead as tightly as she could.​

"Dammit Red. I missed you too!"​

She wrapped arms around the base of Cross's neck, pulling herself up and giving him a long kiss.​

"God, it was too long! I was starting to wonder if I'd ever get to see you again!"​

Cross smiled as Rikki kissed him, and pressed up closer before he pulled back, just a tiny bit. He put his face into her hair, letting himself just breathe in the fact that she was there, and he could hold onto her. Finally, he ran a finger down her spine and gave her an eskimo kiss.​

"I felt horrible without you. The Duchess is basically empty, and I had nothing to do but stare at walls and be introspective, and... God, I love you so much."​

​

He kissed her again, letting his fingers run over her horns and back.​

Rikki laughed happily. She was so happy, she could literally float all the way to the ceiling if Cross wasn't holding her so snugly.​

"If you squeeze me any harder, I'll explode!"​

She kissed his nose, beaming up at him. She then let her red-orange eyes wander a bit to their surroundings.​

"So this is Zeltros, huh? I sure hope their booze is as good as you say it is."​

Cross loosened up slightly as Rikki kissed his nose. It took him a minute to register that she was saying something, but he heard "booze", and he blinked his way out of his little bit of a stupor.​

"Sober is a dirty word here. I sure hope the alcohol is at least half as strong as the last time I was here. The bar we're going to has a hotel-ish area upstairs, so we can drink and then go to bed when we feel like it."​

Rikki said excitedly. She picked up her suitcases in one hand, holding Cross's hand in the other as thy made their way outside. Wow. It was really humid here. Luckily, she was wearing something nice and breathable.​

And holy HELL there were a lot of Zeltrons! Their bodies were a sea of glistening pink in front of them. This might've been the closest thing to Heaven that Rikki had ever experienced in her life.​

Cross grinned back, smiling at Rikki's tight grip on his hand. She was just excited as he'd been when he first came looking for the place. He squeezed her hand as they got to the bar, feeling happy at the thought of having his favorite drinking partner back.​

Of course, the pheromones were getting to him a bit... they were just there in the air, and made him think of everything he'd missed doing with his golden-skinned princess. He knew it was the Zeltrons making him feel like this, but... Wow.​

"Fun place. Just watch out that we can still climb the stairs when we're done, huh?"​

Rikki laughed. There was something a little odd about this bar. She felt a little... horny... Not that it was uncontrollable or anything. It was just a bit stronger than it was before. Damn pheromones.... ​

"We both know who can hold their liquor better, Red!"​

Cross tossed Rikki a hangdog look, because they usually looked pretty good on his face. She wanted to have a drinking contest, and he definitely agreed... It was just... A tiny bit uncomfortable down here? He put his arm around her and smiled.​

"Well... We could have room service, instead. And then not keep score or track until tomorrow morning. Or, y'know... never."​

He raised a teasing eyebrow at her.​

"Also, the answer's me."​

Rikki teased, practically bounding up the stairs with him in-tow. She opened the door to reveal a lavish suite. Typical Cross to have it decorated red with gold accents.​

The minute the door closed behind them, however, her reeling mind changed to a different subject altogether. She suddenly threw Cross up against the wall, pinning him there with her body.​

"Yeah. I'm not really in the mood to drink just yet."​

"I think I can live with that, but our clothes can't"​

Cross practically tackled Rikki onto a nearby couch as he kissed her. She felt so warm, and he just wanted to hold onto her as closely as he could. And maybe bite her a little bit. The mixture of pheromones, affection, and having wanted to go to town on his golden-skinned princess was way more than enough to confuse him.​

​

So, he stopped thinking about it, and just thought about kissing Rikki instead.​

Rikki managed to work herself out of her shirt, tangling her fingers into Cross's hair and wrapping her legs around him. She kissed him very passionately, only stopping to lick his neck a few times. Oh GOD, she'd missed this.​

Cross didn't reply at first. He was too busy sinking his teeth into Rikki's neck, and his fingers into her back. He finally found himself breathing enough to talk as he gently bit her lip.​

"And you're like champagne, Rikki... Golden, inviting, and euphoric."​

Oh, yeah. Even pheromone-shot and horny Cross was still a poet.​

Rikki moaned. Cross never bit her the last times they hooked up. She was usually the rough one. But this? It was a very welcome improvement. And he just called her champagne?! Nicknaming her after booze was the final straw. She flipped Cross onto the floor, straddling him.​

"Then let's get you drunk as Hell, baby..."​

Feathers. Feathers everywhere. The furniture in the room was either flipped or destroyed. The pillows had all been massacred. Rikki was pretty sure she could see claw marks in the wallpaper. Yep. They'd gone crazy this time...​

Cross smiled as Rikki looked around the room they'd very successfully destroyed. As far as he could tell, they were lying on a mattress that one of them had managed to drag off the bed and tear almost inside-out. He felt all sorts of exhausted and overheated, but they were the good sorts. A finger came up to lightly poke her nose.​

"It might interest you to know that there's only one shower here. How horrible."​

​

He slowly stroked his lover's hair, his tired brain finally getting to the fact that he still hadn't found that moment he wanted... To ask her what he wanted to ask... It wasn't scaring him, but rather... Confusing him?​

Rikki rolled over, laying on top of Cross so that she was eye-level with him.​

"What a pity. We'll have to share a bar of soap. And a sponge. And a towel..."​

She kissed the tip of his nose, smiling. She was aching and exhausted. But it was better than it had ever been before.​

"You were very active. I always knew there was an athlete somewhere under those locks."​

Cross gave Rikki an Eskimo kiss as he ran a hand down her spine.​

"We'll have to share an everything. But, y'know, I missed that a little bit. And you can test out some more athleticism if you like."​

He closed his eyes and smiled at the feeling that he could just be here with her like this. She felt so warm, and soft, and amazing, and he wanted to hold onto her like this forever.​

​

He found himself wondering if marriage proposals given in showers were valid or not.​

Rikki traced little circles on Cross's chest. Her mild Force abilities allowed her to sense a tiny bit of what he was feeling. Happiness and... Nervousness?​
