Red Garden Pt. 3 (Camellia)

Ayumi Pallopides

"Perhaps we will but it will be something that more people will have to realize. Within much more a simple piece of technology and a few people won't be able to do much. That this is not something planned to give to billions of people or make hugely known will also go a long way." She was just smiling now while the machine created another cup of tea with a smile on her face. "We're just going to see what can be done with this and there are other things I have learned about. I want to search for more exotic technology and see what we can make from it all, perhaps a strong mode of ship can be forged if we do it right. Work to make stronger composite plates for hulls."

It definitely would go a long way if they actually could keep this technology secret from the likes of the Sith and the criminal underworld. Especially if they kept it away from the Techno Union. Not that the Rendili woman had a particular dislike for the successor of the CIS, but she definitely didn't like the sort of power they could likely amass with it. It was the whole point Camellia was trying to make about how incredible a droid foundry on Raxus Prime would be with this technology. It would provide a galactic with a cheap and nearly limitless army since Raxus Prime wasn't going to run out of scrap any time soon. It really just came down to a waiting period or else it would be expensive depending on how many or how large a place one might built on the wreckage of a world.

Of course, if it couldn't measure up to that they could at least make the galaxy's most efficient tea restaurant chain with the device as their tea maker. Although Ayumi seemed to have other good ideas. "I don't doubt you would find something, you're almost more archeologist than engineer Ayumi. Hey, is this actually big enough to make a Mouse Droid? You know one of those old cleaner units?"

Ayumi was looking at her as she saw Camellia's face while she was thinking about something. The smirk on her face though as she took a sip of the tea backing away and checking in the database for the mouse droid she wanted. Ayumi selected it and the computer was showing the diagram of it, she was letting it work as the machine hummed creating slowly the parts of it as base levels and then the outer casing. Her attention went to Camellia as she spoke. "If it has the design it can make it. The real trick will be." Ayumi's hands set the tea down while she picked up the droid when it was finished and presented it to Camellia. She started loading more things into the machine to breakdown and restore their reserves of raw material.

A lot of the time Camellia envied her friend's much more relaxed and free attitude, but sometimes it made her wonder if Ayumi noticed how badly things were going for the rest of the galaxy sometimes. Not that the Rendili woman could blame her companion, the Silver Jedi Order worked very hard to keep the peace and to them in their corner of the galaxy it was probably out of mind when the Sith weren't on their doorstep threatening them. It made her wish that Rendili wasn't in the Inner Rim sometimes since it was such a contested region of space, the days of the Outer Rim sieges ancient history it appeared.

Shaking the thoughts though she brought her mind and focus back to the task as Ayumi revealed the machine could indeed produce a Mouse Droid, so long as it had the schematics for such, before moving to restock the devices reserve of raw material. "So whether we put this together on a factory scale or not, the scrap and materials will be the primary issue. Its good to know this thing meets our expectations though."

Ayumi was looking at her and she turned the droid on while watching it sit there and go around. "Yes it is, that will be the good thing and why places with a lot of material are so important." Though now she was wondering on some other applications they might be able to work this into. "Though now my mind is thinking of other applications. What if this could be used for waste or scrubbers. It might have more applications for keeping a ship going stronger then just repairs, renewable water and breaking down everything instead of a need for heavy and dangerous waste disposal.... There wouldn't be a chance of dianoga's getting onto ships or stations."

Luckily enough for them they lived in the future where there were so many scrap yards and old battlegrounds littered with wreckage out there by this period of time that they had access to plenty of the raw materials they needed. So long as they picked a place that wasn't under the control or scrutiny of any galactic power. Although part of the concern wasn't that they were looking, but would somehow find out anyway by some utterly inane and unreasonable metagaming nature of some selfish and ill mannered higher power who actually controlled said possible watchers. Of course that just sounded crazy though, right?

Nonetheless, the Rendili woman certainly wouldn't their work compromised by the greed or misuse of others. Especially as Ayumi continued to come up with more and more ideas. Her friend was on a roll with this machine and its uses, but they needed to test it first Camellia knew. "Or Mynocks. . . . .we need to start testing more things and actually decide what we want to do. Just mentioning ideas is great, but let's make it final. Are we going to go after a Factory on Raxus Prime and what do we want to use the device for with other things too? And what do we want to make most."

Ayumi was looking at them and she had a grin on her face thinking about it while she turned towards Camellia. "I think we are going to go for testing on Raxus and creating an official station if we can in a place where we can test and work on things in peace. A cradle of civilizations as it were. The Seoul System is legendary and some said the birthplace of the humans... So lets use it and the poisoned status of the work as a cover away fro others who won't have need. With the salvage operations and right ships we can make trips quickly and quietly moving parge supplies there and constructing in the veil fo the world. Raxus is a great place but it is also very public and people know it. If a facility was cleaning up the planet it would make concealing droid and other things there harder from the groupd dumping things."

While true, Camellia wasn't so certain people would even notice a factory being built there at all concealed amongst the junk. Especially considering rogues on the run hid there all the time. Although she supposed that such a high scale planet would certainly be well watched by the rest of the galaxy. Ayumi had some good points about that, as well as some very good ideas about other locations they could construct facilities at too. In all honesty the Rendili woman hadn't known about the tidbit of the human race. There were too many such worlds in her opinion though. after all there were similar claims for half the core worlds and inner rim, not to mention that Coruscant had confirmed humans around the same time as the Taung. "I suppose you have a point, but what if we utilize an underground facility and have droid diggers make tunnels to hide the operations from orbit? Or if need be, why don't we put the time into quietly collecting stygium to run a stealth field? I think the other station in the Seoul System would be a good idea as well, although I wonder about the cradle of humanity bit."

"As do I but you never know." She was thinking about where they could put things and had been working to put as much material they had into the machine including more food and drink. She was making some of the different equipment things they could work on as she was moving her hands over the console to look at some of the other things they had in the databanks while she was checking it. SHe had her tea in her hand still while sipping it with a smile on her face before finishing it and putting the cup into the converter. "An underground facility would be an interesting thing to make slowly and carefully. With enough things there and a large enough converter we could make the walls and parts on site which would reduce people seeing us."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

That sounded like a reasonable way to go about it if they could. And failing the ability to hide a droid foundry somewhere like Raxus Prime, they could still attempt to use the device to hasten the production of other items, blasters, vehicle components, or use the device as otherwise suggested to provide long term exploration expeditions with a way to generate more foodstuffs for themselves and to effects repairs more easily with raw materials they might collect. "So if this mostly just depends on the blueprints we've downloaded into it, leaving out the power and raw materials, could we in theory shorten the time it takes to make the products as well or will it take as long as others? How quick can your caf machine fill a cup compared to this for example?"

Ayumi was thinking about it and with the materials there she had a grin on her face. "Well this can make the caf with the cup as well and then dispose of the cup... so for those who don't like doing dishes it is great." She was moving around with her hands checking things while tinkering with it a little more. "We can make it work a little faster but not to much. Production wise it can make its pieces depending on size within a couple of moments. Turn jagged metal into sheets for working and cutting the pieces you need." Her wrist pad was showing more of the work as she produced a couple sheets of metal they could have for hull patches.

How hard was it for people to wash out their cup after they used it really? Right after they finish then and there they could just rinse it out, the only time Camellia excused herself was while she was at work and she needed her aide to do it for her or get her a refill on caf while she was busy buried in paperwork and blueprint approvals. Still, there was a very real use for such a caf machine that would undoubtedly make millions if not billions of credits around the galaxy. "So we don't actually know the specifics yet. Just that the larger the end product or how complicated it is internally the longer it takes the converter to make it. Still, its nice that it is what is at all. How soon could we begin putting this into production for the scale we were thinking of?"

Ayumi was looking at her and thinking about how quickly they could build these. With the work that had been getting done to expand she was more then certain the jedi with some of their resources they could produce a few and then produce the parts to make more. "Sooner then we might think, if what I have seen holds the jedi will know how to use their resources to best create more and work hard but not flood Keep them just that side of visible to everyone." That was the best idea she had but they had a great system for getting things built, they usually built it and didn't spend twenty days arguing if it is something they want.

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

That was a high matter of opinion. Personally Camellia hadn't had as much faith in the Jedi as of late considering the attitudes of a few she had wound up coming across, along with the poor decisions the Silver Jedi seemed to have been making. Especially with the giant command ship they had been given and seemed to use rather frivolously. Still, the Rendili woman didn't have any doubts that a major player on the galactic level had the resources to get things done. However. . . . . "Are you certain involving them is a good idea. In all honesty considering the secrecy of . . . .some of the projects and the concerns about abuse. Can we really trust them?"

"I know a few who can be trusted, for secrecy they are good at a few things." Ayumi was looking it over while they were working on things and putting forth more with the computer they were working on as she sent the secured message and plans. The jedi were good at many things but this could be just as useful for them in terms of what it was able to do and be used to make. "The real question is what to make next, I believe it is your turn to get me to work with you on a project now."
