After being brought back from the carbonite block on Ziost, Yula wanted to fly once again, knowing that she would not fit well within the Sith Empire, regardless of whether or not they were able to make good on their promises of rapid advancement to Sith pilots. In her mind such promises can only be held because of the Sith Empire's high starfighter casualty rates. Also, the non-rogue One Sith often threw their starfighter commanders under the bus as far as she knew it, and the Rogue One Sith' records were destroyed along with Omega and Castameer; she could barely remember whether the ROS was any different from the non-rogue faction in that respect. So, with only the money given as severance pay from the subgroup of the fracturing Resurgent Empire that unfroze her from the carbonite, which was barely enough to pay for the upkeep of a MS-10 for a few weeks, after which time she will have to sell it, and she managed to do some piloting missions for hire until she made it to Barkhesh. She stepped right up in a starfighter corps recruitment station in Victory Point's spaceport, filling out the paperwork and, as with every prospective recruit, the First Order Security Bureau, or FOSB, has to vet them before they can enter service.

"Yula, please stand by: a FOSB agent will meet with you soon" the starfighter recruiter told the Hapan.
