Rebellion of Kintan (Witchmasters versus Hutt Cartel)

Kintan is a harsh world. Transparisteel sandstorms rip flesh from bones, Kintan Crushers roam the wastes, and the native Nikto civilization has suffered long. And not just from the Hutts. The ancient Cult of M'dweshuu has risen again, casting fear through ugly sacrificial rites. The Witchmasters look to the Cultists as potential rivals and interesting targets. Ancient rites often contain a grain of truth, and power can be found in the unlikeliest of places. Due to Witchmaster interest in Kintan, and the reduced circumstances of the Hutt Cartel, certain Nikto organizations have contacted the Dathomiri for aid.

AND DATHOMIR WILL ANSWER.

Rebellion thread to be posted shortly. I'm not sure who's active in Hutt territory. Last I knew, [member="Sempra the Hutt"] was man of the hour.

Last man standing? I feel you.

Obviously we'll offer you every OOC courtesy here. If you'd like a personal fight, I'd be happy to oblige as Alec. If you enjoy fleeting, I'm down. If you want to do large-scale strategy stuff, we can work with that. Probably the simplest thing for you would be if I passed the word that most of our opponents will be NPC, and asked our members to treat those NPCs as challenging combatants. We're here to wreck a gameboard hex, not be dicks.

Well mate. I appreciate the courtesy I really do, but this is a rebellion. And as far as I can tell the Cartel is in disrepair. You have the element of Surprise as well as likely outnumber us. The balls in your court not mine for me to ask what I would like. In short, I would rather you decide considering you lot are going to be the dominant force. No point in trying to make a nigh dead faction look like stiff competition.

If I come off as harsh forgive me, not felling myself today and I ain't ever been a leader in this sort of scenario before. So I am a bit off.

Well, I posted up the IC thread with what seemed like a fun little scenario. Drew on some canon history, tossed in some strategic concerns. We're focusing on a single historic fortress while trying to keep relief forces out of the system. We also gave you a lot if wiggle room if you want the focus to be elsewhere - a counterattack or something. Look over the thread setup and decide how you'd like to play a role. I've been in your exact shoes, and it can actually be a lot of fun.

The hutt cartel is being recalled so we are going minor and Rebellions need a dominion before it turns into a rebellion so I am not sure what can be reached here....

I believe [member="Ember Rekali"] initiated the Rebellion under these rules:

5. Upon the end of the 14 days of the Notification Of Closure, a second vote from the SWRP Staff Team will be held in accordance with the rules of the first vote. Upon passage of the second vote, the Major Faction's planets on the map will all be permitted to be targeted by Rebellion threads by Minor Factions or Invasions from Major Factions.

Any idea how we go about claiming a win on this? The two-week mark is early tomorrow morning, only one opposition RPer showed up (though he did a great job), and he sounded the retreat IC on the 23rd. I'd imagine there'll be a map update thread template made for successful rebellions?
