Our struggle against the Sith Empire has been a long and bloody war, one that has cost the sons and daughters of the Alliance dearly. Our victory against the Sith on Krayiss was decisive. The Galactic Alliance has lit a beacon of hope that will not soon be snuffed; and as the surrounding planets have seen its light, they too have risen up against their oppressors and come forth from darkness! News has reached Coruscant that Pho Ph'eah, Telos, Mirial, and Ziost - long a poisoned chalice for the Alliance - have risen up and thrown off the chains of Sith tyranny.
I also share with you alarming news from the Federal Assembly, where your elected representatives, gathered on Coruscant to discuss matters of the utmost importance, have uncovered a nefarious plot by the Sith Empire to pervert our democratic processes. Future details will be released in the coming days, but I will say this - you should be proud of the integrity and determination of our Senators in their pursuit of freedom and liberty.
Even as the power of the Sith Empire wanes, we must continue to be ever vigilant against the spread of darkness and we, the guardians of Light, will be ready to protect the galaxy against the shadow wherever it may lurk. The Star of Coruscant is a special distinction and one of the highest honors of the Alliance, given to a member of the faction who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our people.

The Skywalker Order of Merit is awarded to those who have shown extraordinary acts of valor in the field of battle. Named for Luke Skywalker, who helped save the galaxy from the more dire moments of despair, and Leia Organa Skywalker who distinguished herself as a heroic leader of the fight against the Empire.
