Description: This signet ring is what you might get if the taciturn majority shareholder of a galaxy-spanning corporation decided to tell his most trusted friends how he felt about them. A tiny, replaceable, high-capacity power cell fuels a single-use miniature shield generator. The generator, if activated with an inset thumbnail switch, will maintain a convex deflector shield in front of the user's fist for ten seconds, one lightsabre strike, or five standard blaster bolts/slugthrower shots, whichever comes first. The deflector shield is 15cm across. Its edges will cut cloth or unprotected flesh, but nothing more durable, not even bone. After each use of this single-use emergency shield, the power cell must be manually replaced. The convex shield is projected 10cm away from the ring, balancing the need to reduce wrist torque with the danger of extended fingertips brushing the shield. Wrist torque is especially hazardous when directly facing a full-power lightsabre strike or taking a slugthrower shot. Use of this shield generator often results in a sprained wrist.

The central stone is a Corusca gem, cut with a shallow central peak and set slightly higher than the rest of the ring's face. This allows the ring to function as a situational, last-ditch tool, as Corusca gems can be used to score metal, glass, or plastoid.
