PRODUCTION INFORMATION

  • Manufacturer: Bio-Tech Industries
  • Affiliation: Galactic Alliance ( Closed-Market).
  • Model: NA.
  • Modularity: No.
  • Production: Limited.
  • Material: When solidified, the nanomachines form an integrity consist to that of Bronzium.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Classification: Brain Implant.
  • Size:Extremely Small
  • Weight:Extremely Light

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • The Reaper Nanomachine, is a counter implant developed by SIA to assist high value operatives from revealing key information against their will. Using a highly sophisticated implant, the device operates off nervous system impulses directed from the brain of the host. The idea of the device is to counter force or technological methods to compromise an individual with implants.

STRENGTHS

  • Strengths.
  • Agents able to utilize this nanonmachine are able to retain movement and control of their limbs as the nanomachines form direct pathways to the brain from the implants, preventing their cybernetics from being compromised by foreign agents.

  • Agents have found to have their combat potential increase given an increased reaction time via the network of nanomachines working in tandem with their movements.

WEAKNESSES

  • Weaknesses
  • Individuals lacking strong will power are unable to effectively utilize the nanomachines, and the side effects have been known to cause drastic effects, varied but not limited to; paralysis, permanent brain damage, destruction of vital organ tissues.

  • If the individual is rendered unconscious by an attack, the implant can be manipulated while the individual is helpless, allowing one to use it’s very abilities against the host, including turning the nanomachines against the host.

  • As evident by the photo above, the nanomachines operate by latching onto the host and spreading through the body. This can cause the host to look disfigured for several days, as the nanomachines will slowly begin to power down and stop production. Some test results have found agents are unable to halt the production of the nanomachines, resulting in being permantly marked by the implant. Scientists are in the midsts of correcting this, but it is unlikely they will find an appropriate solution.

  • The nanomachines are highly susceptible to ion damage, and being hit with ion weaponry will short out and can potentially disrupt the flow of information within the nanomachines, leading to the disabling of the agent. Agents are advised to equip ion resistant armor to combat this function, but even this has shown limited success in practice.

DESCRIPTION

Given paranoia over the strength and capabilities of some groups, and the vulnerability of agents operating with significant implants, the Reaper Nanomachine was developed as a method to protect key personal from being compromised by hostile entities with the ability to manipulate cybernetics. By injecting nanites linked to a control unit housed within the brain, an agent can activate the nanomachines to go into production, creating an isolated control system that enables the agent to resist influences that may be put upon them. It is not recommended for inexperienced agents to utilize this device, as test results have found those lacking sufficient will power are unable to effectively control the implant. Subjects that display a level of force sensitivity however, have proven to be better suited for using these devices. The reasons for this are not yet known, but it is believed to be due to the influences of the force working in tandem with the implant.
