Location: Ossus landing pad
It had been quite awhile since had been to the Jedi planet of Ossus. In fact, it had been so long that Tugoro had actually grown since last stepping foot on the Republic's territory that was home to a Jedi Temple. Ossus was nothing compared to Tython however, for it was home to some of the best memories the boy had ever had. Like practicing aside other trainees and Kiskla Grayson, one of the Grand Masters. He remembered being praised for his mastery and power with the force, despite having just learned to control it. Tugoro figured he could be doing so much more with it.

The Padawan still retained his youthful features, but he was taller now, much more physically defined. Even so, he liked to tell himself that not much had changed, as he strode down the landing pad's stretch towards the Temple's entrance. He wore his usually outfit, a simple brown leather flight jacket with beige pants and brown leather Jedi boots. Clicking a button on his wrist computer, the boy was sure to lock up his Aleph starfighter, given he did not want anything happening to it.

He figured it would earn some stares either way, seeing as it was made of a Sith/Imperial design. Even if it didn't look the greatest, the ship was a gem and Tugoro wouldn't be caught dead in anything else. Actually, that was probably the only way he would be caught in anything else. Especially those new Jedi interceptors, he heard those things were deathtraps! Before arriving, the teen had made sure to make contact with [member="Kian Karr"], the new Jedi Master and an old friend.

Knowing the man's nature, Tugoro would throw up several mental blocks and shields, doing his damnedest to fend off any empathy or telepathy the Keldor might attempt. He had never been a fan of such techniques, but had known to accept them when in dire situations. Either way, Tugoro favored physical combat over all, having refined his skills to reflect such. He wasn't even sure if he'd be able to fight off Kian's attempts if he made any, but for now he would remain rather bland in the face as he always had been. A small exception would peak through as the youth smiled, having spotted his elder friend ahead of on the landing pad's catwalk. "Yo, Kian." He called out, approaching as he lifted an arm to wave. It seemed he still wasn't one for talking much.

If Tugoro Taidarious could see through the antiox mask that clung to the Kel Dor's face, he would see that it was split in a wide, boneplated smile. Watching the young man's ship.....oddly enough a Sith design...settle onto the landing platform flooded Kian's mind with memories. Tugoro had been the first Jedi that Kian had met and befriended when he had come to the Jedi Temple all those years ago and it was hard to fathom how long it had been since the two had see each other. The last time they had met, Kian remembered, was in a training duel in which they had soundly pummeled each other for some time.

That thought made Kian's smile widen even more and he found himself chuckling when Tugoro walked up.

"Tugoro." Kian said bowing his head to his friend and then stepped forward slapping the taller man on the back. "It has been, far, far too long." Kian said leading him further into the temple.

"So, what have you been up to all these years?" Kian said, casting a sideways look at the man, "Besides growing." Kian said chuckling.

Even though Tugoro didn't have x-ray vision, the youth could tell that [member="Kian Karr"] was pleased to see him. The two did have quite the history, and it wasn't something that the Padawan was about to throw away. Recalling everything that they had been through, Tugoro could not deny that they had had their ups and downs, but it seemed like everything worked out in the end. Especially for Kian, the Keldor was a master and member of the Jedi council! Tugoro wouldn't say he was jealous, but he definitely was. Looking down at the ground sheepishly as the man placed a hand on his back, the Padawan would allow himself to be led deeper into the temples, craning his neck to look to his friend.

"The usual," he spoke, his trademark smirk plastering itself across his lips as he thought of the adventures he had undergone. It would suddenly die though, as he remembered the parts that were not very fun. Not at all. Tugoro knew that he didn't have to explain much to Kian, for the man already knew what 'the usual' consisted of. Sticking to his brief and to the point manner, the youth would drop the topic there before moving on. "What about you? Master, huh?" Tugoro commented, looking around the temple and noticing the changes. It had been too long.

Kian chuckled and shook his head as they walked. Tugoro had always been a relatively quiet person and it seemed little had changed that fact over the years apart. Kian could understand it though. Tugoro had grown up among a group of Wookies who had taken him in and raised him on Kashyyyk. This, coupled with his treatment from his slave owners, had given the man a unique perspective on things.....and a quiet contemplative nature. Though, despite this, Kian knew that the boy.....no man now.....before him was a warrior through and through. Kian had witnessed Tugoro lose a hand in a training match and yet overcome it. They had fought together on Carida, where Tugoro had saved Kian's life, and then again on Ossus, trying to save as many younglings as possible from the spells of Darth Hauntruss.

"Yes." Kian said shaking his head. "I was risen to Master shortly after the second battle of Alderaan, partly because of my service there and because of my work with the Shadows." Kian said, smiling wryly beneath the mask. Kian remembered the pride he'd felt when he was promoted.....and the fear. Fear that he might fail to serve the Republic as he should....fear that he had overcome in time.

"Then, after Grandmaster Grayson was captured on Manaan, we resurrected the Jedi Council....and being the leader of the Shadows, it was deemed important to have me on the Council." Kian said, glancing sidelong at his friend.

"Not that I'm complaining," Kian said chuckling, "But what brings you back to the Order?" Kian asked, knowing that in his time away Tugoro had done a great many things. He had shared some of the information with him when he contacted him, but Kian was still curious as to Tugoro's return to the Jedi....and he not-so-secretly hoped that it was a permanent return.

Thinking back on what [member="Kian Karr"] had said, Tugoro would begin to remember the first battle of Alderaan. That had been a crazy one. He vividly recalled someone getting stung by a Voxyn, either it was Corvus or Kana. The young Padawan couldn't really tell, but if there was one thing he did remember clearly was getting blasted out of a shuttle. Kian and he hadn't fought alongside each other in that battle, but he had managed to fair well despite facing a Sith Lord. Tugoro hadn't been present for the second battle of Alderaan, though he assumed that that was when the vongforming of the planet had been complete. It was such a shame, for Alderaan was a beautiful planet.

A nonchalant shrug would be given off as he listened to Kian's question, unsure as to why he had returned. He had just gotten bored really, and felt as if something in his life was missing. It had been the Republic of course, for he owed his life to the faction. Either way, he still wasn't against breaking the rules here and there, and that honestly would be unlikely to stop anytime soon. Tugoro had spent most of his time on Tatooine and Nar Shaddaa, doing his best to help out the locals he ran into. Nar Shaddaa probably wasn't even under Republic rule, even so the Padawan had spent his days hiding out in the Enclave The Dark Man had set up. He missed his old master(s), but knew he didn't need them. "Got bored," the young man would speak, still walking through the temple. "Shadows?" He asked, wanting to know more.

"They were all but gone when you and I were padawans." Kian said, understanding why Tugoro hadn't heard of them. When Kian and Tugoro were padawans the Shadows consisted of Talon Vosra....and he was quickly drawn away from the Order shortly after Kian had achieved Knighthood. Kian missed his mentor and wondered where in the galaxy he was now. Seeing Tugoro was making him nostalgic.

"The Shadows are the.....more secretive side of the Jedi." Kian said shrugging. "We have a singular goal. The redemption or destruction of the Sith and all traces of them." Kian said. The Jedi Shadows of old would have focused entirely on destroying the Sith, but Kian believed truly in the abilities of redemption. While he wasn't going to put the Jedi at risk, the Shadows of today sought to bring the Sith back to the light.....and if that failed, destroy their evil.

"We focus our efforts on honing our abilities at stealth and espionage, but focus our intelligence gathering on seeking out the Sith and darkside cults." Kian said as their walk took them to a small, wooded courtyard. Finding a nice place to sit, Kian signaled for Tugoro to join him.

"We've slowly grown in number over the years, but we are still a relatively small sect of the Jedi."

Walking alongside [member="Kian Karr"] through the temples, the youth could not help but feel nostalgic as well. The duo had history in this temple, however new and improved it might be. The attack the One Sith had pulled on the temple years ago had definitely been costly. After inquiring about the shadows, Tugoro would listen quietly, his head slowly tilting to the side as he took in the explanation. That sounded basically like what he did. No wonder it was so secretive! Then again, the group seemed much more prepared, for they most likely had extensive training in stealth. The most Tugoro could do was move silently, thanks to The Dark Man.

"Wow. Sign me up," He would reply, a confused smirk upon his face. He wished he had heard of it earlier, and hoped he could still join. If it meant more adventures with his friend and some cool fights, the boy was down wholeheartedly. "Though, need to train first." Tugoro would conclude, knowing he held no other stealth skills.

Tugoro joining the Jedi Shadows.....it was a very interesting thought and one that brought a wide smile to Kian's face. Kian often had a checklist of things he went through when evaluating candidates for the Jedi Shadows, and quickly considering it, he thought that Tugoro would make an excellent addition to the sect of Sith Hunters.

"Excellent." Kian said nodding his head. "I think you'll fit in with the other Shadows.....though truth be told we don't get to see each other much, as our duties often require us to work alone or in small groups." Kian said. "We have a training facility here on Ossus, the Shadow Enclave, as well as a mobile base, the Gnost Dural." Kian said, his mind racing ahead to all the possibilities that this would open up.

"As far as training, I would be glad to help. I always found our training session together to be quite.....exciting." Kian said unable to contain a laugh. The first time they had sparred together, Kian had watched Tugoro lose his hand to another padawan, and the last time they fought, Tugoro and Kian had thoroughly beaten the snot out of each other.

"There is something I wanted to bring up now that you are back as well." Kian said, turning his full attention to his friend. "I think it is time for you to cast aside the mantle of padawan and take on the responsibilities of a Jedi Knight." Kian said, his voice serious. "Its time Tugoro, your ready."
