Description:

With the absorption of Stargo Defense Enterprises into Arakyd Industries this did not stop the weapon engineers at the now Arakyd Industries laboratories on Antecedent from creating a new weapon for the assassins and blade fighters of the galaxy.

With throwing knives being a popular item among most Melee fighters they have always been considered fire and forget only good for targeting one enemy at a time. I'm comes the Razor Flight Combat Disc, or Razor Flight for short. This is a easy to use tough and reliable two part weapon system that can cut and slice your opponents to their bloody deaths. How it works is quite simple

First off the wrist mounted laser

Set your range on the sensor anywhere from five to fifteen meters. The laser will limit itself to that range when the disc is thrown. You can load up to four discs to one wrist laser but can only throw one at a time.

The disc

Press down on the button located near the center of the disc, and the blades will extend, you can of course not have to do so before throwing. Once thrown the blade will automatically extend and the mechanized gyros inside will propel the disc while the laser guide and repulser lifts steer it to the target designated by the laser. This can travel in various different arcs and can be thrown from left to right or right to left, however once a disc is thrown in that direction it the user can not steer it back the other way by reversing the gyros. It's committed to that direction when thrown.

This weapon system runs on a standard small battery with the life of about a week depending on frequent use, the battery powers the gyros inside the disc that help spin it to give it more velocity and power. The repulser lift helps steer it and the blades have been known to reach speeds upwards 64 KPH. Once thrown the blade flies in the arc as long as the user needs it to go, if the user spins in a circle then the so will the disc following the laser.

And the greatest part is that the disc will return to it's user, simply press the return button on the side or use a vocal command and the disc will retract it's blade and return to the user. The blade is capable of slicing through ballistic vests and targeting soft spots on armored opponents such as the neck and joints with ease.

However there are a slew of downsides to this weapon. It's not lightsaber resistant, a simple slash of a saber will cut the disc in half. It's bad against armor, since the Razor Flight is a slicing weapon it's only capable of slicing through items like Kevlar vests, blaster vests, and some armor weave meshes. Anything else the blade just bounce off of and keep on it's flight. Personal Jammers will also disrupt the signal from the disc and cause it not to function. If it breaks don't bother fixing it as it has very small parts that only the manufacture can replace or repair. EMPs and other ion attacks will destroy it, and it's loud.

But in all the weapon works well for what it's intended to do, help cripple enemy soft spots, or cut throats. It's best to use on soft targets for the most damaging effects

Laser guided objects, such as missiles, only travel to the point where the guiding system first selected (the initial location of the target). While it certainly can continue its flight path, it is not going to act like a homing missile to an aircraft.
