DESCRIPTION
The RAWL-10a Phase-Pulse Longblaster was the newest innovation to spawn from the minds of the Forgesmith’s who formed the core of the Mythosaur Forgeworks. As the Sons of Mandalore took the steps towards reclaiming their homeland, their warriors were in need of weapons that would level the playing field. Especially when they would be facing off against the might of Dark Wizards who wielded the mystical powers of the Force, with fearsome weapons at their command. As a result, the Mandalorian Artisans looked towards the horizon, seeking to push the boundaries of technological frontier. Their desire for something new was great. The weapons they presently had at their disposal weren't enough. It was why they lost once the hammer fell, and were scattered to the solar winds. Thus, it wouldn’t do to return to the centre of their ancestral empire without having learned from their failure

Inspired by the Thyrsian Sun Guard, the Artisans of the Forgeworks elected to harness the wholly destructive nature of Disruptor technology. As Disruptors operated in a similar manner to blasters, it wasn’t hard to replicate the process and enhance it with various Mandalorian innovations. The generation of Plasmatic projectiles was wholly dependent on a Golden ratio of Energy drawn from various sources, as well as a measured supply of Tibanna gas. When the Golden Ratio was unbalanced - favouring one direction or the other - there were two possible outcomes. The first was putting more power into the catalytic converter, which resulted in the creation of an unstable particle beam that burst on contact. A useful plasmatic projectile to use when facing off against Dark Sorcerers and their Enlightened Kin.

However, if more Tibanna gas was pushed into the conversion matrix, the energy’s capabilities would be increased significantly. So much so that the resulting bolt would inevitably lead towards the target being broken down on the atomic level, as their molecules violently shook apart. The more molecules that were present and densely packed, the more likely they were to shake apart all the quicker. It was only through a more dispersed molecular bond that items wouldn’t disintegrate instantaneously, but at a marginally slower rate. Naturally, this process was wholly dependent on the affected materials, or organic matter, as the Galaxy is rife with oddities that bend conventional physics to their own capricious whims.

Class-D annihilation weapons were considered to be the epitome of Disruptor weaponry, as these weapons didn’t just force their targets to violently shake apart. Class-D disruptors forcibly broke the molecular bonds, effectively deleting the intended target in the blink of an eye. This destructive power was enhanced further, as it supposedly erased a person’s presence within the Force. Such was the reason why the Ancient Jedi rightly feared this weapon. They believed that it was an affront to life itself, and saw that its production was banned across the whole of the known universe. However, the technology thrived in the shadows and lasted throughout the generations. It was only in the modern era that Class-D weaponry found itself returning to the light, with very few Interstellar Nations banning their operation and use.

Allegedly, there were even models that were produced by One of the many Mandalorian Clans. However, as the Empire was divided and the Clans were scattered, it was difficult to place the origin point of these weapons. If anything, they were likely tied to a Clan whose status had long since faded from prominence, or was collectively considered to be Outcasts amongst the greater Mandalorian populace. Therefore, if these weapons existed, it was clear that they were destroyed by the Sith - or faded back into the shadows all the same. Nevertheless, Mythosaur Forgeworks sought to create their own version of these mythical Disruptor weapons. The reasoning behind such a decision was based solely around adding additional firepower to the ranks of the Sons of Mandalore, and possibly expanding on the weapon’s capabilities in the future. Thus, the RAWL-10a Phase-Pulse Longblaster was taken off the drawing board, and pushed into service.

Like many Mandalorian weapons, the RAWL was outfitted with a plethora of innovations that enhance it’s properties outside of producing a high-powered particle bolt. Due to the high-powered nature of the Disruptor, there was a chance that the plasmatic energy would eat through the cohesive magnetic sheathe, resulting in shorter ranges. However, through several integrated systems, the magnetic sheathe would be strengthened - which would allow for the wholly destructive bolt to travel longer distances. In addition, the Longblaster was outfitted with a host of magnification options that would allow the wielder to see great distances, which in turn would permit the weapon to live up to its name.

Like the GALAAR-15c before, the Tibanna gas canisters utilized in the Longblaster would be treated with a specialized radiation that would rapidly deplete, if not outright destabilize shielded targets through successive volleys. Naturally, this was entirely dependent on the defensive barriers being struck, as there were varied or wide margins of success between standard military mobility shields, or vehicle-mounted deflector shields. The same effect would translate to the magnetic containment field that encapsulated Lightsabre’s - which meant that the RAWL would make for a potent long-range weapon against Dark Sorcerers and their Enlightened Kin.

With the RAWL in hand, the Sons of Mandalore would eventually achieve their desired reckoning - whether it was up close, or from a distance.
