STRENGTHS
Jack of Many Trades: Ratch has many skills under his belt. Slicing, repairing, tracking, marksmanship. All wrapped in a Tynnan package.
Scenthound: Like other Tynnans, Ratch has a strong sense of smell. If he can catch a scent of his quarry, he has good chance in locating them.
WEAKNESSES
Fuzzball: Because of his height, furred form, and chittering language...he often gets underestimated. Many others find him too 'cute', much to his infinite annoyance. That and his language is not easily understood, even when he attempts Basic.
Vision: Like others of his species, he has beady, rodentine eyes. Too much bright light can disorient him. Additonally his scenting skills can be fooled or overwhelmed by pheromones and certain strong smells.
HISTORY
Ratch is a young Tynnan bounty hunter who came of age during the final years of the Galactic Alliance. Raised on Tynna, he showed an early aptitude for mechanics, electronics, and systems work, and was expected to pursue a stable career as an engineer or technician.
The collapse of the Galactic Alliance disrupted that future. As trade faltered and crime increased, Ratch found himself using his technical skills in less conventional ways. After helping track down a thief who had stolen valuable equipment, he discovered that bounty hunting offered both better pay and greater independence.
Since then, Ratch has built a reputation as a capable tracker, slicer, mechanic, and saboteur. His small size and unassuming appearance often lead targets to underestimate him, something he is more than happy to exploit. Though cynical about governments and institutions, Ratch is not needlessly cruel and prefers bringing his targets in alive whenever possible.
