- Lightsaber Resistant. Because the Antarian Rangers and their Sector Ranger counterparts often come across rogue Force Users who may or may not be wielding lightsabers, the shaft of the security baton is made of a durable cortosis weave, which allows it to hold up to lightsaber strikes.

The security baton is a versatile weapon that has been used by galactic law enforcement agencies since the days of the Old Republic, when both the Coruscant Police Force and the Mandalorian Protectors wielded them. Sector Rangers were also known to carry the batons, which continued when the Galactic Empire grew out of the Republic. Many centuries later, the fundamental design has not changed. The model used by the Antarian Rangers that served alongside the Silver Jedi, circa 851 ABY, was produced by Sasori Research. Constructed of a cortosis weave, the baton was capable of withstanding directed energy strikes from a lightsaber. A power cell was housed inside the handle of the baton, with electrodes on the ends that could deliver an electro-static charge that could stun most organic lifeforms, as well as disrupt some droid systems.
