Range Time

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
After the rollercoaster of emotions and regret that Miss Blonde had been going through, it was time to let off a little steam. Recently she had been responsible for the deaths of dozens of civilians, six Jedi, and who knows how many children. As a crime lord and growing force user she needed to be able to expand her power, do more daring things that had costly consequences such as the deaths of bystanders. But today wasn't the day to think about that, today was a day to just relax and shoot some guns.

With [member="Cyrus Falcor"] accompanying her to the range on Deneba, Miss Blonde had brought three EE-3s with her to knock out a little side project to help take her mind off things. The two gas masked individuals would be set up at a shooting table with a few targets down range at about a hundred meters.

"Am I a bad person Cyrus?" Blonde asked the mute as she picked up one of the rifles.

Taking it she cleared the cooling breach and then slammed a power pack into its loading well.

"Have I made questionable calls? Yes. But the science and knowledge isn't furthered without sacrifice. Right?" Blonde said as she attached the stock to the blaster carbine.

Adjusting the sights she raised the rifle up and aimed down range. Popping off a three round burst the shots went wide right of the target and soon the woman adjusted the scope it to zone it in.

Along for the ride as always, Cyrus followed [member="Miss Blonde"] to the range and helped unload the bags. He payed out several cases of power cells and some snacks. A ruthless killer needed to keep his blood sugar up, even in down times. As Blonde began to speak, Cyrus tiled his head, like a dog when someone talks to them.

Am I a bad person Cyrus? Cyrus looked inquisitively, the LEDs turned yellow.

Surgeon shrugged, honestly, he didn't want to answer for fear of the legendary temper of Blonde to turn on him. By Cyrus' standards, she wasn't a bad person, maybe ruthless in her aspirations, but goals needed a strong head to attain them.

Have I made questionable calls? Yes. But science and knowledge isn't furthered without sacrifice. Right? This made Cyrus pause, the lights went white momentarily. It would be easy to tell he was thinking. Then the lights went green. He agreed, sacrifices were necessary, even at the cost of lives.

Cyrus grabbed one of the EE-3's and adjusted the sights for himself. He left the stock unattached as it wasn't his style, compact and mobile were better suited for him. Chambering a power cell, Cyrus pulled the hammer back and took aim...

With the multi optic sight on the EE-3 all set and tuned in, the woman adjusted herself and started to fire multiple three round bursts down range. Striking different targets set up the plasma bolts hit the steel and black scorch marks and glowing red steel were left in the wake of the blasters fire.

"I try to be nice, I really do. But when you shut down almost half of my business I have to act." She was of course referencing to the Silver Jedi shutting down the spice mines on Kessel.

Firing off a few more shots into the targets, the woman looked mildly disappointed in the carbine's stopping power. So setting down the rifle on the table she reached over and grabbed one of the duffel bags that Cyrus had brought to the party.

"Hold on a sec." She said to herself as she emptied a few blaster components from the bag onto the table.

With her mind occupied the woman lifted up her hand and caused the EE-3 to float into the air above her. With a swipe and flick of the wrist the weapon instantly disassembled itself into various pieces much like a Jedi would do with their lightsaber. But rather than just reassembling it the woman removed the heater valve and citer. Replacing them with an Enhanced XCiter and a Capacitor Overcharger the woman swiped her hand left and the weapon reassembled and placed itself on the table.

"Give that a shot. Pull the XCiter and activate the Overcharger. It should send explosive plasma bolts down range." That or explode in Cyrus' face.

But Blonde was an amazing engineer and had made sure that the weapon would have a hell of a lot more stopping power than the standard EE-3, along with some extra kick.

Cyrus missed the reference as he was MIA during the Silvers raid on the Black Tue mine. He just shrugged and returned the LEDS to yellow. Blonde was a wizard with the rifle, then, an actual wizard, what with her playing operation in the air with the rifle.

Placing it back on the table, she ordered him to shoot it. It may not have been an actual order, but when Blonde spoke, Cyrus jumped to whatever it was she said.

Grabbing the rifle, Cyrus sighted up the first target and BOOM! The gun pushed the Nagai onto his can, but otherwise fired normally. Scrapping the dirt off his trousers, Surgeon looked down range and saw a smoldering heap of steel where the target had been. The lights on his mask turned green and started blinking with excitement. He moved to the line again and braced his feet.

BOOM! Another target gone. Leaning into the shot helped this time, but he'd need a better stock if he was to ever use this in combat, even though it wasn't his style. Cyrus just enjoyed the damage it could produce in his hands.

Placing the rifle on the ground, Blonde would see something no one else in the galaxy ever had... Cyrus removed his helmet to reveal a young, pale skinned Nagai. A smile that stretched from ear to ear in an almost childlike, yet devilish way.

With Cyrus removing his mask the woman respected that, she had never seen the man's face and it was nice to see he trusted her with that information. It was an honor, truly it was. So she'd of course return the favor and do the same for him. With a smile under her mask the woman reached around and undid a few tubes with snaps and hisses of oxygen quickly rushing out. After a second or two Miss Blonde took off the mask to reveal her pleasant face.

To normal eyes like Cyrus' she looked no older than twenty three, she was young. But in reality the woman was pushing forty, but all would be explained in time, for now the rest of the guns needed to be taken care of.

"You can just call me Patricia." she said in her natural tone of voice.

"Alright let's see if we can fix that recoil problem and adjust that high energy output to a toggle." Patricia said with another flick of her wrist.

Once more the gun disassembled into a bunch of smaller pieces. Using the force she pulled out the older standard rifle stock and replaced it with a detachable buffer spring stock designed to absorb more recoil, but she didn't stop there. Removing the older chamber and replacing it with a Mandalorian Chamber, Patricia then wired the overcharge valve along with the XCiter to a toggle switch near the loading well to make the weapon more stable and fire more standard bolts until the need for more power came along.

Then with a snap of her fingers the gun assembled and placed itself down next to the young Nagai.

"I really appreciate you coming out here with me Cyrus, it's nice to see you getting comfortable. Now that should handle the recoil. Go ahead and try the toggle switch and send a few rounds down range." Hopefully that would help the young Nagai place more accurate shots.

Cyrus had the most emotional moment of his life when Blonde removed her mask as a sign of respect to him. His jaw became slightly agape and a tinge of 'wow' scrolled through his eyes. Never being one for showing how he dealt through visual expressions, this was as visually enthused as he'd ever been. She was attractive, an idea he didn't understand. It was like seeing a bomb go off in a crowded transit station, or a Bye Bye Bio grenade going off in a hospital waiting room, for him.

Cyrus snapped out of whatever thought was bouncing around his twisted brain, and came to reality as the rifle was again placed on the table. He pulled it into his shoulder and fired a few normal shots without issue, then flicking the switch Blo...Patrica installed, the next few shots kicked like a Scatterblaster, but didn't floor him in the slightest. The targets melted from the intense plasma and shook violently from the kinetic impact of the bolts.

Cyrus turned to Patricia and offered up the rifle to allow her a turn. A smile shown on his face, he really was comfortable with Blonde around. She was the only person he trusted and probably his only 'friend'. He'd follow her to hell again anytime.

Blonde did enjoy Cyrus, while he was a horrible and vile monster of a man, she cared for him. It was essentially "yeah he's a monster, but he's my monster." But despite those feelings she had to focus in and get this rifle just right. Everything was coming together and the weapon seemed to have its recoil under control, there was no reason why you couldn't improve upon it.

"Alright, let's have it then." Blonde said as she took the weapon.

Reaching into her bag the woman grabbed a forearm grip and slid it onto the weapon's bottom rail that she had attached when replacing the original barrel. Honestly it was barely an EE-3 anymore besides its frame and look. But with the grip locked the woman held it tight and flicked the primer for the overcharge setting. Once primed she fired and the recoil bucked but was a lot more manageable. The damage however was still great. Explosive bolts of plasma turned metal into more slag and Blonde was happy with the results.

"Whatever happened to make you so quiet, Cyrus?" Blonde said curiously not really expecting him to answer.

But when that wrapped up the woman set the weapon on the table and used the force to call the rest of the EE-3s over to start modding two more exactly the same as the current one.

Miss Blonde kept up the work on the rifles. With all of their parts changed out she had to finish them up. Which meant she had to start the imbuing process. What good would a blaster be if a lightsaber could just cut it in half with the flick of the wrist. Besides, could you imagine the look on a saber jockey's face when you used an EE-3 to push their saber out of the way and then shoot them in the face? It'd be pretty priceless. So that's what she needed to do.

Reaching into her mind's eye, she steadied herself and took a deep breath. With everything else leaving her, the range disappeared and there was only the table, the guns, and herself in a black void of nothingness that was the force. And with her new found power she was able to do this much quicker and much more effectively.

With a swipe of her hand the guns raised up into the air as she stared into their molecular make up. Picking and choosing different fibers of its being and makeup, the woman altered the metal on a molecular level as to make them stronger. Essentially shifting the atoms to make them more resemble phrik, imbuing the force in them to protect from sabers and the sort.

"There we go. Almost there my sweets." She said with her ethereal voice.

Next step was going to be pretty simple. While she wasn't the best with TK, she could make basic barriers and that was the idea. To let people create cover while holding the weapon. It was gonna be a trip.

Miss Blonde let out a long sigh as she focused herself in. She rather despised performing TK, because if there was anything the woman was not it was a brute. She wasn't like Keira, she couldn't lift ships with her mind or throw boulders across hundreds of meters, her force powers were more fine tuned for delicate workings. But this would have to work, after all Keira did need a personalized rifle and while Marauder's were great. The ammo was heavy and so was the weapon.

So once more reaching within her mind's eye, the crime lord let her ethereal power expand outwards and flow from her arms. Defensive energy would then wrap themselves around the barrels of the weapon and hold where they were. She had to pin the energy and almost wire it to be activated by less astral elements. But first she had to shape the actual barriers.

"Bastards." she cursed silently to herself as she began to work the power in her hands and around the guns.

Unseen to the naked eye, the woman manipulated the energy around the weapons. Shaping the energy into a more full body forward barrier, she set them into the weapons then sealed the energy letting it activate whenever a charm carved into the pistol grip was activated. Much like her defender bracelets.

Now it was time to move on to the last piece of the pie.

With the barriers worked, material changed, and parts swapped, the EE-3s were pretty much done. And Blonde was pretty happy with them, all they needed now was to have everything sealed and fine tuned. So with the force she set them back on the table and threw herself back into reality. Cyrus came back along with the rest of the range, thankfully this process was simple and easy.

So for the next hour or so the woman meditated on the weapons using the force to program and seal the powers within the guns. She made sure that a force user could simply will a bit of power into it and cause the weapon to activate it's shield, or just give it a tap on a certain location to activate the barrier for a set amount of time if you were a non force user or drained of energy. Everyone loved cross compatibility after all.

"Aaaand done." The woman said with a final flick of her wrist.

Taking one of the three rifles the woman grabbed it and started to inspect it. She fired off a few shots on the charged and uncharged modes, activated the shields a few times, then concluded that the weapon was fit and ready for use.

"Excellent." She said with a smile.
