ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Grapple: The Ram'or Class Boarding Ship is equipped with six 'arms' which, upon nearing an enemy vessel, can be deployed to latch on and grip to the ship, with immense Field Disruptors attached to the end of each arm allowing the Ram'or to briefly disrupt most standard shielding long enough for the vessel to latch on.
  • Fluid: The design of the Ram'or Class vessel allows for the entire body of the ship to move, similar to how certain eels or snakes do. It can 'slither' through space, and then wrap its entire form around an opposing vessel, allowing for its troop compliment to board the enemy vessel.
WEAKNESSES
  • Forward: Almost all of the weaponry of the Ram'or Class are dedicated to forward firing angles, preventing it from protecting itself from targets to either side of it.
  • Latched: Once the Ram'or Class vessel latches on to an enemy vessel to begin the boarding action, it becomes vulnerable to enemy weapon fire as it becomes stationary on its target, though this risks damaging the vessel being boarded as well.
  • Field Disruptors: The Field Disruptors attached to the end of the Ram'or Class's arms do not have a perfect record against unconventional shielding, and there is a high degree of failure for the devices when encountering Molecular shielding.
DESCRIPTION
Mandalorian warriors are some of the best fighters in the galaxy. This is knowledge that many accept and agree with, but some combat prowess does little good when you are separated from the enemy by potentially hundreds or thousands of kilometers of space. The Ram'or was designed to solve this problem, allowing for a full company of Mandalorian Union warriors to be taken to an enemy vessel, and board it from multiple angles. With various forms of shielding, and an impressive arsenal of weaponry, the Ram'or is the Mandalorian Unions solution of how to bring a knife to a spaceship fight.

Kreslin Westwind Kreslin Westwind - So, to start off - we've got a few clerical things that need to be addressed in regards to this submission. Firstly, if you would kindly hyperlink Duratseel in your Materials section - that would be greatly appreciated. As a second item, your current rating scheme presently allows for an additional rating to be increased by One, as the Hangar Space rating for Corvette's of this Size is considered Average across the board - unless Very High or Extreme ratings are selected.

So, your selection of High Armament and Manvuerability ratings, alongside the Limited production rating, gives you something to play with. We can keep the ratings as is, but if you wanted to either reduce the production rating to minor or increase a rating of your choice once - you'd be welcome to do so.

The other item that needs to be addressed is the Individual Field Disruptor;
Each of these arms are equipped with immense Field Disruptors, allowing them to disrupt and pass through shielding of enemy vessels to grapple their targets.

I would highly recommend altering the quoted section of your first listed strength, as this has the potential to do more than the article suggests in terms of what shielding can be disrupted, and passed through, especially when the sources and companion articles are brought into context. My secondary recommendation here would be to leave room for the potential of failure when this Boarding Craft is pitted up against unconventional shielding systems, etc.

Kreslin Westwind Kreslin Westwind - It was merely a request to change the wording, as the way it was previously written would allow for anyone using this submission to justify bypassing things that shouldn't be bypassed in regards to the information provided by the canon article, and the other articles that help further explain the IFD's capabilities. I apologize if there's been any confusion.

Nevertheless, with those changes made - this submission looks good to me. Approved.
