The designer of this weapon was anonymous, sending some concepts and designs to the manufacturer in which one was picked, The Raijin Mk1. This weapon was made for remote settlements at risk of an attack by the local wildlife, a cheap but powerful firearm for quick defending but the weapon catered to hunters looking to take down the bigger creatures of the universe. It was designed to be a rifle to quickly dispatch smaller game but give hunters the chance to take on bigger quarry. One shot can stop the charge of a Reek, Rancors can be killed with one precise hit in the spine with the rifle. The standard procedure for hunters using the rifle was to find an elevated position or stay prone but quiet near the animal's known whereabouts before engaging. A skilled operator could shoot 3 bullets before targets could escape out of range. It was never made for close quarters action or military use however some small insurgent groups across the galaxy has been using the rifle as a substitute for missile launchers, since it could shoot through lightly armoured vehicles. Due to this, the rifles are inspected if anyone is found with one by authorities.
The rifle is not widely adopted because of its preferred use for hunters and its heavy weight and recoil due to the strong cartridge. Critics also disprove of its tiny attachment choices and lack of modifications but do praise its reliability in its role as a crude defence gun and a big game hunting rifle. It can get kicked around, covered in mud, gravel and water but it will still work regardless.
