Raiders, raiders everywhere.

Jenn was totally not ready for the impact when they hit. How would you really prepare for that sort of an issue, anyhow? Her body jolted against the harness and she looked back at [member="Emerald Sage"] who seemed to be unfazed. She must be used to this sort of thing, being that kind of an agent. And then the next bit also blew the dye-haired slicer away. Was Marek secretly watching this somewhere? Second time Em did something like this today.

And that was when Jenn realized what was going on. She could sense the seal on their lips and realized she was actually… breathing. Right, plant. Human. Good idea for a team, for sure.

Complicated her head. Jenn lived in cyberspace, was not one for physical touch.

Following the blonde (sexy) plant, she swam to shore, decent enough in the water to make it there. But when Emerald moved up, she couldn’t tell what was going on until the first charge was placed, then the slicer lay back down. Explosions occurred and a speeder showed up. Shaking off her datapad, she nodded. Water proofing everything, compliments of Marek’s idea.

“Yes please. I hear there is a farm needing us? Sounds… quiet?” She smirked, trying to focus her mind on anything but the assisted breathing… thing.

So Emerald took off down the road. “I bet those security guys were being paid by the bandits. They heard about our little raid and were smart enough to figure out it was us? I don’t know.” Emerald shook her head as they continued down the road. “Either way we sent them a message, I doubt they will be messing with our interests for awhile.” And then a devilish smile appeared on her face. She probed a bit with her natural telepathy and concentrated on Jenn’s thoughts. “We should go free diving sometime. No masks or rebreathers, just us.”

Emerald continued on course heading to the farmstead. It was a large place with plenty of land. “We can’t defend this…” she said looking around. It was simply too much ground. “We need to analyze that data and go on the offensive…” She ran the speeder up to the farm.

The local rancher was kind enough to offer them a place to stay and soon they were relaxing in a guest house. There was other buildings, the head Ranchers home, and several other smaller buildings for the ranch hands. Emerald checked into all of them and they were clean. No one struck out as being dishonest. Truth was the seller had exaggerated the state of the place. It was a dump. That would change soon though. “Any luck with that data? Figured out where these bantha rustlers are?”

At least [member="Emerald Sage"] was driving now. As the speeder was moving away from the scene of the lake, Jenn started to open up her data stream on the Q-55 she kept on her wrist. Marek had hooked her up with a few of these, tuned up for a variety of tasks. It was really nice of him. Haor Chall and Santhe built them together, first of the smaller firm’s personal gear. It was smart, working together like that. Heil Tion, right? “Means they must have someone who is watching the CC channels. Only thing I can think of.” Or there was a Jedi after them, not something the slicer wanted to think about. What was she going to do? Listen to them really really well? And then Em suggested what was on her mind.

“You… me… I mean, uh…. Maybe if we ever get a break, maybe.” Yes, she was turning bright red, wasn’t she? Right, data. They had data. She could only view it on the tool, no analysis until they got to their gear and she could jack into an actual terminal with more processing power. “Once we find out who, we can find the where and go from there. Or call back up.” Hegemonic Automaton droids, anyone? Or she might have enough pull with Marek to get one of those Geth Hydra droids.

Once they finally got to the farmhouse, Jenn got straight to work, running a few programs to find a pattern in the data while Emerald did… house keeping or some chit. She was starting to find a few locations where the raiders were located, where they were striking, and how they disappeared, which direction. It was a matter of triangulating and letting the programs run their course. Giving it a few more moments, Jenn nodded. “Looks like we’ve got them. Warehouse district. How… gangster of them.” Must be delivering elsewhere. “Whats our next move, Chlorophyll?”

Apparently Jenn was going to give Emerald a nickname now.

Emerald smiled a little as she looked at Jenn. The data from the attacks was pretty precise and it was clear where the criminals had their stass. Warehouse district. The tactical situation there was a nightmare. “We can’t go to the authorities,” Emerald said. “We know that local law enforcement is dirty.” So what? She rushed various scenarios.

“Bigger fish?” It wasn’t like there was many criminal enterprises on a planet like this. “Maybe get a bigger gangster to do the work for us,” No no no. That wouldn’t work. “Or we can deal with the problem ourselves. A cash pay out. A little cash on some explosives, a little explosives on the cash pay them for some batha’s and bam we take out the whole lot of them.” Emerald shrugged, “What’s our play here red?”

[member="Jennifer Blanchard"]

Yeah, locals were out. Besides, they’d not be able to handle this sort of thing. The first idea Jenn had would be to call in for Tionese help. But they were agents, and while she was still waiting for her Browncoat Datalogger to come in, thanks Marek, for taking so long to order the damned thing, they, [member="Emerald Sage"] and herself were both Tion. Weren’t they? Maybe not the nobles, but they were the ones that the nobles sent out to do their bidding. It was a nice thing, but it meant that they had so many options.

Running a hand through her hair, she took a second to look through options. Calling in Tion wouldn’t be smart, nor would calling in Abrion. If one of the other agents was stronger in the Force… that would be something. The buy out would be nice. “I say we spend a little of the money, buy them, find the rangers we can trust, and put them out. I don’t know ‘bout you, hun, but I don’t know a damn about ranching.”

She bit her lip and looked Em over. They could probably pull it off, be off-world buyers, and as long as Emerald didn’t mind playing hardball, could talk them from whatever price they were selling for. “Think you can talk the price down? I mean, we could probably buy the raiders, with our accounts.” She pulled up the account her card was linked to. There was a lot of money in the budget for the agents. And no one had to call their mom.

Emerald smiled as she released her pheromones. Oh this would be fun. Goody two shoe [member="Jennifer Blanchard"] was about to get an education. Emerald started across the floor not getting up and staring Jenn in the eyes. Emerald crawled over next to where Jenn sat in the barn and combed a hand through her hair. “Jenn, darling,” she began pushing Jenn’s datapad aside and draping herself over the other woman.

With a smile she straddled the other woman's lap and placed hands on her shoulder. A slight bit of pressure sent Jenn to the ground laying her body on some hay in the barn. “If you can make records that show us as buyers…” she started lowering herself onto the other woman. “We can take down these rustlers, and the men they are selling to…”

Emeralds mouth hovered over Jenns and she lowered herself to kiss her partner on the forehead before plopping down next to lay next her in the hay. “A goods nights rest first though huh? Then we set up a buy, show up with some explosives and bam….”

Then she turned onto her side, “Unless you have something else in mind.”

She kept working on the data as [member="Emerald Sage"] began suggesting a few things. She could set up an account, move some funds, and then ‘create’ the rest of them in some code. Jenn was on the floor and watched as the blonde crawled over. That was… interesting. What was that in her head? Again? No, this was normal. Wasn’t it?

She really should learn how to detox her body. Marek was good at that, wasn’t he? Had to be, Force user running a gambling and entertainment business…

She hit the floor before she even really realized what was going on. Her datapad moving, Em cooing at her. Swallowing hard, the slicer looked at the blonde once more. This was… different, and it made Jenn a bit nervous. Or a bit more than nervous. “I can do that…” She nodded, not really focusing on the job at all. And when Emerald kissed her and slipped off her?

“Well… I could get to work…” She bit her lip and rolled from her back and sort of, very awkwardly crawled onto Emerald. “There will be time in the morning.”

The night came and went and the strange sun heralded a new day. Emerald got up, her arms wrapped around Jenns and smiled. It was time to get to work. They finished up some early morning preperations and then packed up their gear. Once packed they sped off to the site ahead of the meeting. They had to guess that the rustlers would get there an hour ahead of time so they went two hours ahead of time. The old warehouses were lined together. The Bantha’s were in there but that wasn’t their target. The meeting place was down the road and Emerald made sure to utterly litter it with explosives hidden behind every nook and crany. “Lets do this,” she said turning and waiting.

The Rustlers arrived and Jenn and Emerald smiled and were polite. They were posing as buyers with deep pockets and knew exactly what to do. This was an ambush. Police units had been called to several disturbances in a nearby ratio. Enough units that even if a corrupt security officer was nearby there would be multiple honest ones to keep him in check.

“So these Bantha’s,” Emerald said with a smile on her face. “They are in those warehouses.”

“If you have the money,” Emerald was trusting [member="Jennifer Blanchard"] now. Trusting her to ignite the explosive charges and get the party started….

That was… an interesting experience for Jenn. Not to say it was bad, no, not at all. She spent most of her time hiding from others, locked away in some air conditioned dark room with caffeinated fizzy beverages, electronic, bass heavy music, and very often very little clothes. Because clothes were terrible, and when you were trying to get comfortable? It was easiest when you weren’t concerned with how you looked. Her flat back on Lianna was full of take out boxes. But if she and [member="Emerald Sage"] were going to be following along on whatever path last night put them, because this was Jenn and she thought it meant something?, then she’d have to clean.

Or just say she lived in her Challenger. Especially if she started moving to Roon for the Obsidian Order…

She made sure she grabbed her datapad, the one that would get hooked up to Emerald’s little dirty pleasure of explosives. When it came to speaking, she let Em do the most of it, Jenn working to transfer money from accounts. She nodded when asked about the money. “Boom.” She was trying to be like the blonde, when she set the charges off.

Cue explosion.

Emerald smirked as the explosives went off. She liked explosives. As the blast erupted and drew the attention to various positions around the meet site Emerald grabbed at the nearest man and pulled him close to her body, a meat shield. A blaster drawn she started to shoot.

It was a massacre. For several seconds before the brigands had time to recover Emerald was already blasting away. More than a few fell to her blast before any had time to return fire. Another two fell before they reluctantly opened fire on their comrade who fell out of Emeralds arms limp as she jumped behind cover.

Controlled bursts. Emerald sighed and ran from one piece of cover to another. Security forces en masse on their way, it was time for Emerald to leave. They would find a warehouse with stolen bantha’s and a bunch of thugs, several of which who would be dead.

The young woman still had one thing to do. Already she knew what she’d do. They had planned this well. She ran back another hundred yards, a mad dash to cover. Pursuit behind her as she ran and slid into cover.

A small trigger device lay under some debris. With a smile Emerald lifted the device and depressed the trigger several times in quick succession. A second set of explosives erupted over the area blocking the escape of the hoodlums.

Emerald laughed as she ran towards [member="Jennifer Blanchard"] and the awaiting speeder. She jumped in and off they went as the local police came speeding by.

Two days later the arrests of notorious bantha raiders was noted in the news. The involvement of Tionese agents remained unknown. Emerald couldn’t help but smile to herself. All in days work.
