Description:


The Raider is the first successful 'ShardFighter', combining speed, firepower, accuracy, and Shard coordination into a deadly, but cheap package. With its relatively simple design mostly made of standard parts, it will hopefully become a staple of many planetary defense fleets.

It holds an advantage in speed, armament, and squadron communication over other ships of its size, but its disadvantage lies in its nearly total dependance on whatever carrier or base it's launched from. With no hyperdrive or modularity, the ship is basically a weapon of attrition. A very valuable feature, however, is the modified ejector seat that ejects the Shard pilot as soon as the hull hits 10% integrity and tags the Shard itself with a heavily encrypted signal that allows their allies to retrieve the ejected Shard.

Because the Shard don't breathe, they don't require life support systems, food, or water. However, the ship's function is still limited by the need to recharge the droid body after a couple hours.

Only thing I see here that you're gonna need is consumables. They cover more than emergency rations, really. Shards don't need air, water, or food, but the ship itself has to have a set amount of fuel/power before it can no longer function.
