ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Not Applicable.

Strengths:
  • Heavy Assault Cruiser - Prioritizing the offensive armament of this class of vessel, the Raiders offensive capabilities outclass all other systems specifications and capabilities.
  • Small Craft Hangar - Housing two assault squadrons and one lambda class troop transport squadron, the Raiders Hangar is ideal for a vessel of her size and armament.
Weaknesses:
  • Slow Maneuverability - A large vessel with adequate speed yet awkward in it's mass costs the Raider Class Assault Cruiser in it's maneuverability.
  • Power Distribution - Priorities are important and bad choices can get you killed, here the captain will need to choose between fire power or speed and defense as the power coursing through this vessel cannot provide maximum output to all three core systems simultaneously, (High speed = Low Fire Power & Vice Versa).

DESCRIPTION

Having cleansed and re-established the Temple of Rannon under the Jedi Academy Network, Veiere Arenais has turned his attention to the former fleet that he had originally commissioned for the use of the Dark Jedi Order, a former dream that was fueled by Veiere's turn to the Dark-Side.

Having been pulled back to reality through the attack of the Sith Empire against Commenor, Veiere's returning faith in the Light and of his former Jedi views were strengthened during some of the hardest months of his life, disconnected from his home-world and his Family, bringing about a rebellion to liberate and fight back against the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Today, with Commenor secure, the former Jedi Master has found need to try to make amends from his previous mistakes and failure to adhere to the Jedi Code. As a means of trying to give back to the Order, he taking all that he created for the Dark Jedi Order, he's now made it his focus to refine and contribute to the rest of the Galaxies Keepers of the peace and Wardens of the Lightside of the Force.

The Raider Class Assault Cruiser has been inspired by it's predecessor of the Galactic Empire's Raider Class Corvette designed and manufactured out of the Kuat Drive Yards. Gyndine Shipyards, thanks to their amicable trade and political standing with the Empire, have since been commissioned to begin work upon a new line of vessels secured under private contract by Veiere Arenais.

The Crew Compliment of the Assault Cruiser ranges from four and a half to eight thousand personnel per any single vessel; a skeleton crew or in other words the least amount of personnel required to operate the vessel can do so though leave her disadvantaged during combatant scenario's and is otherwise ill-advised.

Passengers or personnel not of the vessels direct crew can count up to the maximum number of two thousand. These personnel are often of militaristic nature making use of and being restricted to the Barracks. It's through the troop drop-ships that all personnel are carted aboard, the smaller craft themselves made fit for the fire that often comes with the entrance into hostile territories.

The Raiders Cargo capacity stops at a grand ten thousand metric tonnes and can facilitate the full number of personnel aboard for a full two years, pushing it to two and a half with a skeleton crew and minimal passenger compliment.

With limited production, affiliations are supposed to be pretty narrow, such as a small group within a single major faction. Because of that, I'd recommend simply changing the production to "Minor", which allows the sub to be used by multiple groups, especially since you won't have to change of this ship's stats, because it's underpowered by a single rating for "limited" production.
